i suffered a brain injury in 1982 that wrought havoc with my short term memory and left me scattered and disorganized. i made lists, revised them daily, and worked by them religiously (when i could remember where i put them). my short term memory has pretty much stopped playing tricks on me, but i still operate the same way using a pocket PC to do the sorting for me. works for me.
