However, if you buy ToA on a CD what do we get for our money - a burnt CD-R or a properly pressed CD?. Can somebody confirm?.
I'm in Spain, so I suppose "I'm your side of the pond" (nice expression I didn't know). Stardock send you a properly pressed CD in an paper envelope (no box, except the mail packet itself)
I'm not sure why starbase HP would be a big issue, what with the MANY upgrades to attack and defense. I've always thought that starbases got too much attention in this game. I mean... I spend the whole game upgrading this darned starbase: constructor after constructor after constructor. I'd like to see more passive upgrades for starbases in GCIII, kind of like the passive upgrades to ship hulls.
Totally signed...

to WIllythemailboy
It used to be this way at 3 tiles. The current system of 4 total per parsec was a major reduction of starbase spam.
But still it's four Starbases per race. And I personally hate have my 4 starbases + 1/2 non upgraded at all Influence starbases of each race in my home sector. With 8 races that's 4+(8 to 12)= aprox 16 sb bases in the middle game... Crazy and a waste of resources for them Imho.

1.- I would like to see a way to stop the starbase spamming (limit to their number from start, total module limit, etc) 2.- Ship building queues. 3.- Bring back my espionage slider for each race please. (and maintain the spies as an offensive/defensive tool)

Hi all. Sometime ago there was a post concerning this point but there was not a clear end. I personally find repetitive and somewhat boring upgrading continuously starbases. It avoids me to center in the "grand strategy", as you begin to spam starbases all around, and upgrading them consumes lots of time in the turn. You can say: "Hey, don't build them if you don't like", but if you play vs AI you need to build them just to stand equal to them. I know

Thank you for the response. But certainly this is the hard way to do this.:( I hope Stardock upgrade the map editor, as is almost unusable right now at least for me. ( I dont have enough patience lol)

Normally I use: Size: Large / Huge Planets: Uncommon / Rare Habitable: Uncommon Anyway thanks, I didn't know special were a subset of habitables. This behaviour of the map generation makes much more sense now with this info. Something about the 2nd question, please? Thanks.

First of all, thank you Stardock for this GREAT Game. Althought I had the original GC2 dread lords, I've recently buyed the two expansions in a row, as my family has grown in this two years, and I had not time to play or anything else. I didn't even know about them. And now I can only say WOW. To the questions: Is there some fishy in the in-game map generator of twilight? I mean, the galaxies I generate barely have special planets as barren, toxic, etc., but lot

As a software developer myself, I have to agree with the first post. I like specially this:
Our customers make the rules, not the pirates.
That's exactly my point of view, and why I like Stardock too.

Saludos desde Miranda de Ebro (ya me ha salido la vena paleta, lo siento XD, pero postear en un foro en inglés, en castellano, es nuevo para mí). Muchas gracias por tu trabajo. (Y no, no estáis sólos jeje).
