Using 2 mods at once??? in Modding GalCiv2 Forums

ok what i have done is just to make my own little mod using alot of master u's (many thanks) planet.png's and height maps plus loads of other logos' etc..etc..and have adjusted many xml's just to tweek the game to my liking and to make it a little more challenging.... And of course i use Kryo's hull mod (where would we be without it!)...so what i had done was to modify the original xml files to create my mod and checked Kryo mod in the mod selection screen. Worked fine! quite proud of

just back to the crashing guys....its soething i have learned to live with and im sure it is a prob with my graphics and/or driver not the game itself so much... and of course i have had smart ex for quite some time and sent many an email back to the devs........ With the ecomony changes and the change to the morale bonus of the vr buildings i have found it actually slows the game down in the first 1 to 2 years and takes alot lomger to get over the hump.......for later in the g

Your not the only one wirefire, mine crashes so regularly that im just so used to it now. I auto save every turn just to try and stay on top of it.....but i play on anyway... The planet quality bug im glad to is gone.....but the economy is certinly one change that i wasnt so happy about....i think my game time has doubled playing on maso now... Oh well ill take the good with the bad.

And i'd try updating your video and sound drivers....they are both over 12 months old. You would be surprised what wonders up to date drivers can do for you....

i gotta go with jim on this one.....In around 6 to 7 games since 1.3 i have not seen 1 minor race...and all these games were on maps no smaller than huge..... I figured it was a small bug but sibce you guys have seen them i guess im just stuck in a rut......

No choice for Good or Evil in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

here's an interesting little bug, resaerched ethics, then the ethical choice screen appeared prompting me to choice. i dive straight for neutral, those nlc's are just great, and i get a ctd. when i reload the game it sees that i have researched ethics but no longer gives me the choice screen. and in the civs menu it says no alignment...anyone have similar and anyone know if i can still choose an alignment or am i screwed?

Im running a 400w power supply atm, so that shouldnt be a hassle. I want to go dual core, so i want to get a lower priced card till i can afford the full upgrade. Its prolly as much a driver issue as with the card, are all geforce drivers compatible with all gforce cards? anyone know? Are there any video card issues with 1.3 that anyone knows about?

im running the march driver myself and wondered if that was the source of the problem...theres a new driver out....good ill check it out and as for the overheating, i put an 8" fan in and that helped but on the hot days it can really be a pain.....

After too many ctd's to count i tracked my problem down to my video card. It's either a crap type (no i dont know that much about them) or i have a faulty card on my hands. What video card is every one using and what problems if any is every one having and any reccomendations to which card i should buy next? Im using an Nvidia card FX 5700le, wish i wasnt tho

ok thanks for that i will check the throttle framerate...and yes i do have smart ex installed and have submited many reports to that email.....as yet no help.....im sure every1 is busy with dark avatar....

i will try the new video drivers,ty, and yes i reinstalled, to no avail and then for good measure done a format and reinstall of xp and still no good..these problems have been since 1.1...thanks for the help...ill bump and see if i can get the attention of one of the devs....

ongoing problem in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

hi all, this problem has been hounding me for some months. at any random moment the game will crash to desktop with the normal send error report prompt coming up. i have posted debug.err here b4 but to no avail, hoping some new ideas might be out there........please help me!! thanks.
