I'll second the request to cue ships in the starport. I think multiple ship builds at once is too much cheese, but to cue them up like improvements, yea I'll buy that for a dollar!
Neilo
Diplomatic Translators is one of the first, but i also like to get Tri-quan* Training. On the harder levels i find it invaluable.
Ahh ok. Well i hadn't paid much attention to the production changes after getting 2nd tech. Thanks for setting me straight.
Are the AI more aggressive with anomalies in DA? Very nice. I have only played a handful of games and haven't actually taken notice just yet, there's so much more to deal with! I take it, JanuHull, that you have seen them go after anomalies with a bit more gusto?
Best result i have seen so far after getting the second tech is a 1 tile improvement. Hardly worth the effort. I will say though, i did already have the Orbital Terraformer so maybe that offset the benefits of the second tech. If this is the case then the second tech is even less worth the trouble. Have i missed something or is this a known bug?
Has anyone bothered to build the GGB? I wish i could delete it out of the improvement window. I remember that in GalCiv I the flagship was useful forever since anomalies kept on re-spawning. Cool! Shame this feature was never in GalCiv II. It would really make your flagship worth keeping as i always destroy it after the anomaly rush is over, unless it is level 4 or something like that. A simple solution woul
Like Kryo said, check that you have downloaded all the movies. There are ending movies for all victory types.
The first thing i do in a game is build survey ships. Get to Sensors 1 asap, and then Ion Drive, and like Iztok said grab a cargo hull and load it up, though i focus a bit more on engines than Life Support. The quick cash you can make by having 3 or 4 survey ships out there easily off-sets the time and cost rushing for the needed techs.
I do hate it when after spending weeks getting to Sensors IV and building EotU, the mega event happens that gives all races an extended sensor ability. Hypersensors i think it is. Tends to only happen on tough or higher, maybe the game acknowledges' the AI's lack of intelligence to play against someone with EotU and tries to level the playing field. And yes i always build it. I find it invalua
Ranking your score and showing your achievements is the main purpose yes. The medals you see under a person's post show their level and preferred race and any achievements they have won. The Metaverse is a community in it's self to. Depending on what empire you join, most of them have their own sites and forums as well. Thorsby, i am about to finsih my first DA Meta game and was wondering about su
Haven't checked for a while, but i think this was there. From the planet screen, on a planet with a shipyard, click on build ship button in the top right corner. Your effectively in the starport i guess. Pretty sure you can click a button in there to launch all ships in orbit. Like said earlier the blue pop-up icon at the start of your turn when a new ship is available, right click it, or the green arrow underneath those icons for all ships that turn. I find that the easiest way.
I had this before very early in the game, maybe 10-13 turns in, and my logistics was zero. Get those medical techs and your logistics will jump up.
No problem.
Your right, it didn't. Should i be happy that you are going to be less of a annoyance to me because i wasn't born in America? The only point you have managed to prove is your ignorance toward people not of your creed, color or race. For you to think that your "apology" was going to be anything other than an insult proves my point.
Wheel and Evil. How hard a life you must have. Upset by improper grammar, Grow up. We are not all American's or use English as our first language. And even if we are, what the hell does it matter if our grammar is not up to your standards. Last time i looked neither of your names are ranked higher than citizen, so step down from your high horse. Not everyone on here is American and nor are they all English speakers. I guess it was naive of me to think that either of you would
Of course after you win you have to press turn once more as well.
For a good balance between money and morale, don't let your planets get higher than 13B pop. Anything above you need too many VR centres and you wont make as much money than you would at the lower pop with more stock exchanges. Of course this all depends on bonus's. 18B to 20B is do-able on a high class planet with a morale bonus or two. Anything above 18 normally sees your morale dropping to the point where it is redundant due to the 5 or 6 VR's needed to keep them happy.
Wheeloffire, the answer to the question nobody asked!
Is it in the box Stardock have been showing of DA, or just in a slip?
bump...sorry.
Hey guys, ok here's what happened. I pre-ordered DA with disc, right at the start long before the beta was released. The problem arose when it came time to charge me for DA, at the start of the beta i guess, and i had maxed out my credit card ( i went on holidays, leave me alone ), so of course it didnt go thru. (bummer) So now i want to get DA, and with plenty of room on the card do i do a whole n
Is that the box the cd comes in if you purchase from stardock? Or is there no nice pretty box?
Well, i'm sad to see that it's gone, tho not surprised, as i understand that it was a resource hog and the AI of DA was and is much more important. I agree that it would have been one of the most exciting things about DA and look forward to seeing the EG in GC3 maybe...... Either way, i was getting DA regardless.....my hands are sweaty thinking about playing it...
Not to rehash an old thread but does anybody know the status of the Epic Generator? Is it gone? If so was logging left in, and is there a quick screenshot feature. If the EG has meet it's maker (as i assume it has) are there still plans to look at it again sometime in the future or is it keeping someone's coffee off the desk?
If you can't afford the extra cost and you need factories quickly, then I'd stick with the manufacturing center and then replace them as time goes by. Couldn't agree more. I will get to manufacturing center's as quickly as possible, but i stay with them for a while, (in fact i make sure to get to these before going past trade centres) but once th
