Hello, the edge scrolling in the lastest patch is still horrible. Its far away from beeing smooth. With patch 1.6 I was able to lock framerate at 50 frames. The scrolling was acceptable then. Now, that the framerate slider is gone, the game locks frames at the value of windows refresh rate which should be 60 in my case. But then edge scrolling is really bad, stuttering and in short horrible. Please fix edge scrolling or reanimate the framerate slider... Or is there a c

hmmm, maybe I am missing something, but I had created custom factions and those do not show up and there seems to be no option to create a new faction... and why do those pictures in the forums behave like they want? :( Sometimes they just arent linked to the original, so that you have to right click it and select something like "view pcitur
oh oh, this sounds bad... Do other downloads work? LIke any file downloaded with your Browser? I had this problem once, i could track it down to a false MTU value in my router... Someone (maybe even myself) changed it, i turned it back to the value my DSL provider needs, then everything was ok... Just a thought ...

Hi everyone, with the lastest Beta build i got some strange lines in the intro. Have a look at the screenshot... NVIDIA 260GTX, driver 257.21
Can confirm this too!
I think you just have to get used to it, and that´s all...
anyone, please? with sugar on top ... [e digicons];)[/e]
So, as I become more and more familiar with the game I have to ask some more holes into peoples stomaches... At the very left of the screen is the empre tree just like in sins. You see your cities and your champions. But why arent "normal" troops not attached to the tree. Its comfortable just to click on a champ or a town just to get there. Id like this for troops too. Alternatively I am looking for a hotkey to cycle through units you havent used in a turn...</
thx for all your help, think I got it now ! Food seems to be empire wide, caravans seem to be for gathering some money, but you dont need them to transport resources...
thx psychoak, in a game i am playing i have some twilight bees in the borders of my town, but i dont get it how to use them... Could you please tell me too?? :) ah and thx frogboy :), both of you shall enlighten me further :)
So, its about food again, eh? But someone please help me on understanding how the food works and how to get cities grow. So, i got it that food is a sort of a "pre-paid" resource. You build a basic garden and get 2 or 3 food i think. So far so good. I want the city to grow, so i need huts. Its ok they cost what i have in food. Then I want to grow the city again (think level 3), ill need more huts... So where to get the food from? I usually build another
i would say that people should be able to choose a color based on their kingdom/empire they choose you already are able to customize your souvereign and will be wiith the kingdoms... why not those colours :) or maybe one will be able to mod it in???
There are resource tiles that give more than 2 food production. If you luck out and build a city in reach of 2 +10 tiles, that 20% is an extra 4 food
ah ok, ty, i think its time for a longer beta 2b session now, just before beta 3 hits :)
Devs are thinking about some penalties if you don't have enough food for your population. In fact, resources paid up-front shouldn't be in the same UI than the materials/crystals/etc.
/agree but iam still thinking about those champs for hire which increase food production... early game they arent of any use but i always meet them... Or to put it the other way around, which purpose are those c
Nice anouncement! Id like to see some competition to CIV V which I already preordered, but that another story...
hmm, I dont miss it, driving me nuts in CIV4 already :)
So why should you keep a garden then? Shouldn't you just build it and then destroy it? And build it again to get the 2 food again? Seems confusing to me, is there a benefit to keeping food producing buildings long term?
seems to be right, and what sense do those champions have that give a 20% on food production when you hire them? still questions about this :)
exciting :) looking forward to release...
Thanks Annatar11 & vieuxchat for clarifiying this to me. Looks like the mouse over is just a bit misleading then... Strange, the picture does not like to be linked anymore, to fully see it just press right mouse button and choose "view picture" (firefox), other browser should be similiar...
