I had the same issue. The sovereign of the top faction just waltz near one of my city with little protection. An easy kill. The message was similar and the cities just disappear. Now, why we even have the message. Shouldn't it go to his descendants? Only if all are dead, than we get this message. So i see two problems. Wondering sovereigns with little protection and giving empire away when dead while having descendants.

Your goal is to save developers time to handle other issues in WoM. What exactly are those issues that would circumvent combat? Also, if you do that, you would need the developers to look at the automatic usage of spells during combat or like Vallu751 we just get ride of a lot of spells. We would also need a way to control what AI can use during auto combat resolution so we don't overuse spells for small battles. They would also need to make it a lot better
I bought the game when it was in Beta and have been playing since then. My friends birthday came and decided to offer him Elemental so we could play together in multiplayer mode. Unfortunately so far, we were able to save only once. After that, we never could save again. We tried to remove firewall, put our machine in the DMZ, all to no avail. One of us saves and after quite a while we get the message about the save being unsuccessful. The
I totally agree that we should be able to upgrade units. Now, you can keep it simple and do as suggested above (within city, cost resources required) and no recouping of obsolete equipment. I would add to that that it does take time to re-equip and re-train. In addition, your experience is not quite the same anymore (need to get use to new equipment), so maybe loose 10-20% of experience? For formation of squads. You just need to select 4/8/16 of
Well, I baught Elemental to a friend so we could play multiplayer since I enjoyed the single player mode. Just a few tweeks would make it workable even if not great. Right now, it's more frustrating than anything else. Maybe there isn't a lot of MP people out there, but the 'box' does say MP. It should be supported and fix to be at least made workable in my opinion.
Tried it three time with different combination before clicking on it and each time it crashed. DxDiag: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8031924/Elemental/%5B803%5D%5Bcrach%5DKindom%20report%20crashed%20game/DxDiag.txt Debug.err: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/80
Duh! Will do and let you know if I can reproduce.
From reading the posts so far, we're all impatiently waiting for 2a. I also do want to re-iterate that you are a rare gem in this day an age for game development. None of your game so far were disapointing, quite the contrary. I only started with Beta 2 (was too late to enter 1), but have been part of Sin Of Solar beta. On the city building , I agree with most, let see what they came up with and see. They'll re-address it if the majority feel it
I have the options setup to map only (I know the 3D is new, but not for me since from Beta2 only). When city is near the edge of your screen and you place a building even closer to the edge, then city moves by one or 2 square and place the building one or two square from where you clicked.
Once in a while, you will go on the map on an inn and there will be nothing happening. Waited a turn, still nothing. So saved and came back and voila! It gave me the quest. Another problem was when I encountered a troll voluntary knowing I would be killed during an escort quest. Got killed, got messages about failing, but highlighted destination stayed on the map.
Haa, ok, that kind of make sense. Still, I think the UI should let you know why it's grayed out if you click on it. It's already telling you if you're missing gold, material or space.
Didn't have time to try a game with someone else, so tried multilayer but 1vAI. On first turn I was able to visit the whole map and took all the loot. Can't do that on single player game.
I have all the resource and the tech searched, yet can't build the granary in MOST of my cities. Can't figure out why and even if not a bug (there was a reason) interface should let me know why. As per image, the underlying text is part of the dialog to create the new unit. Very messy. Saw the same under other dialogs. Got a quest and the dialog didn't allow me to scroll to see the whole text. Image is at: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8031924/Elemental/%5Bbud%5D%5Bdisplay%5D%5Bquest%5D%20quest%20text%20too%20long/Elemental_quest_bug.jpg DxDiag at: http://d
Started on Beta 2. Did my first game and got killed right away (didn't read any instructions, just wanted to run it and see). After two 'learning' games, I can see the points made originally. For the decimal, they just need to multiply everything by ten and suddenlly people would be ok, we just don't like decimal. I do like RPG within a strategy game. So keep the abilities update (just make sure it has an impact) and add feats every X level as a target to achieve
I have an old computer (well for computers anyway). So, was going to change my video options to lower value. First thing i clicked was to change the cursor to the system cursor. Saw the cursor change and then got a dialog about DirectX problem followed by the blue screen of death.
