I am hoping that once they settle on their design changes, they go back and balance and polish the equipment to fix, but right now with things still up in the air, it might be easier to do that last. But then again, the level problems on weapons have been there for some time.

Oh, so this is an AI is too good complaint, I didn't expect that, but it is refreshing. Maybe Brad will take a look at the Easy setting AI and make some tweaks. A good difficulty option should allow for all types of players.
The defender is suppose to be the "tank" character, being able to take hits and the warrior is a damage dealer. The armor seems fine to me in this dynamic.

I'm not disagreeing with any of your points, I'm just saying they have already been made and Stardock is aware of them.
It has been much some time since I posted on these forums and I may be grave digging somewhat here but I just wanted to agree with those who say the move to Steam is bad. I hate steam with the red hot passion of 10 million, million dying suns.... Or something poetically tragic like that. In my eyes Steam is the totalitarians of the gaming industry. They control the end user and slip in tricky clauses into the contracts t

The is the Groundhog's Day of Elemental Forum Post. We've talked about it and talked about it, and there is nothing new here. This is a response I made from about 18 months ago. They were in the game for a long time, but due to the computer not being able to use them at all, and the maps having very little use for them, they were removed. The gene
Oh shit, I forgot all about Defiance and I even forgot to DVR it.

No thanks.
Did you turn off automatic updates in steam?
This might be a stupid question, but are you playing Altar or their blood? They are the only ones with henchmen.
I'm not really worried about static monsters because as the game progresses monsters should be of little factor. A civilization returns, monster should change from the major threat to moderate threat to no threat with the other nations being the major threats.
I'd rather have something that scales, so they can start out weak and grow stronger over time (instead of the opposite). But that's just my opinion. Although the fact that we'd be getting free defense isn't great, it's a simple solution to the problem. Another solution could be monster-specific traits that give them +defense. So we'd have the option of growing that in them.

It's so easy to fix. Get rid of the Explore button
I agree, it's not a useful tool in this game with the depth of danger out there.
Or a base defense equal to chainmail for the items they can't equipe? Something that gets them to the usable range.
In my case it does appear the army was in explore mode. However, I cannot see any indication that it is switched on, or off.I would have thought this would be a 1 hour fix.
Several years and no fix.
I loved Sleeping Beauty when I was a kid. The end with Prince Phillip Fighting the evil Maleficent turned dragon always got my imagination going.

They simply need to fix the cost of these units, they are ridiculously overpriced and they drain an economy very quickly. Also, some are not of great use.
To be fair, they would be pretty terrible if they didn't stack. That is a lot of wasted talents as is when you rarely get a very high level anyway.
