What about having upgrades on mines so that they don´t go depleted? Like an ore mine has 1000 resources at lvl 1, and if you upgrade it itgets +500 ore and +10% income rate. If we have an abundance system, one player might have "better" mines around him and that would unbalance the game, wouldn´t? Like player 1 with 3 "abundant" mines and player 2 with only 2 "abundant" and one "poor". For rare resources, like adamantium for example, we can have a tech

Damn, I'm getting old! First game played was prince of persia 1, and indianapolis 500, together with F-117 stealh, all good and old games, I miss that time... =)
There´s a game, called Arcanum, that have both mechanic stuff and magic stuff. It´s a nice thing to see their enviroment, using both technology and magic to solve society problems. That´s a nice thing I would like to see on EWOM. But I agree with both landisaurus and luckmann, we can have those things without being tied to a "historical period" of mankind.

(Long story)
You can pre-order it, they will charge your credit card only when the game is released. I asked about currency stuff to the sale team at SD and this is the answer : "Hello, The currency conversion will take place the day your order is processed. The rate of
My usb ports are on the right side of the notebook. You have no idea how terrible this is when using a wired mouse, or a wireless mouse with a big receptor. This mouse solved my problems =)
It´s been a while since I´m reading news about EWOM, but I´ve pre-ordered yesterday, before the news about alpha release for "the chosen ones". Anyway hope is the last to die :)
Quoting Climber, reply 6I’ve suggested something similar to below a while back: On the strategic map, whenever gamer highlight an attacking stack, hover the mouse pointers over an enemy stack, the game will shows the % chance of winning. This Win% is determined by running a few AI Auto-resolves behind the scene. It will also show the average # of unit lost and % of HP lost for both sides. If your compute
My avatar is gone, dunno if it´s my pc here, will look later at home and see if it´s gone there too EDIT: Looks like it was a cache problem or something, my dear psyduck is fine now ^^
It´s a good idea as long people don´t duplicate discussions and ideas from the topic the survey was based on =) Cheers Katabroc
I will pre-order twice =) jk [e digicons][/e]
I love all of the TOTAL WAR games. Great epic TBS with awesome battles. King's Bounty: The Legend has been mentioned much on this site. RPG with TB battles. VERY fun! Fantasy Wars and Elven Legacy are great TBS fun, mimicking tabletop miniature games. The HOMM series is one of my favorites. I also like the Disciples games, fantasy TBS. II was great and III is due out this fall
Sorry for asking this, but I´m new to the forums, and it´s just too much information for just a few days read. Is it already been discussed about DRM on EWOM? I´ve recently bought sacred 2 (a diablo clone) and it came with DRM. I had to connect to a server to validate my install and then reconnect again when uninstalling the game. Thats not what I expected from a game, and as always, the good people are being punished because of the bad. Anyway, everything went
Auto resolve should only be implemented on MP games if you don´t have the option to replay the battle yourself. That would take too much of precious MP time by waiting the PC to finish it´s calculations and then replay again if u r not satisfied. The idea of keeping record of previous combats is good, altough it would be hard to determine whether a battle is or is not the same as a previous one. I have no clue how the AI is goin to handle user´s m
I don´t know how many of you are familiar with HoMM5, but I´m sure many of you are. There´s an interesting feature there that makes TBS multiplayer not that "Im sooo bored waiting my opponent" thing. In your opponent turn you play as a "ghost" hero, and can do lots of stuff, like cursing enemy mines, possessing neutral creatures. It was a good idea, to have your opponent doing something while you play your turn. An idea like this could be used somehow by the dev team, would
Well, I´ve just pre-ordered my Elemental yesterday! Let´s wait and see who are the lucky ones. Im really excited about this game.
hehehe, sorry, I didnt see the "Stardock" label on kryo´s reply Thanks anyway, lets wait =)
Well, any official confirmation about the beta delay? Btw, I've just pre-ordered EWOM, I just have to wait now for the beta announcement?
