Exact same issue here. Wondering if I missed something along the way? Cannot equip or modify the unit either, if that was the intent.

Same issue. Read the instructions very carefully. No horse in items to "equip". Got the quest twice as well!

Just adding another "same here" to the thread. I can send in my save file if necessary, just let me know. As mentioned above, I can start at a previous save or the autosave and get a few turns before it happens again.
