Is it at the Potsdam Conference or the Jalta meeting that the future of Europe was carved up? TIP

I am not really sure that China and the Soviet Union were allied during the Korean War. The North Korean leader played them against eachother, making sure both viied for the influence of the North Korean leadership. I don't think either was very interested in North Korea, as the Soviets were consolidating their hold of the Union and Eastern Europe, while the Chinese were consolidating their hold of mainland China, after having driven the nationalists off to Taiwan in 1949. It was just not abo
If you're going for a realistic feel, the way it functions now is what I guess is closest to what it does in the real world. If going into war, social production is halted in favor of military production, but I am not really sure it works the same way in peace time...? TIP
Who is the narrator we hear speaking at the start up of Galactic Civilization II? I think the way she does it is awesome, making you sit on the edge of your seat... Sincerly, TIP
Size 26 is not that uncommon. I have not seen more than one in a game, but have had them several times when playing several games. That came out a bit strange but I hope you understand what I meant. TIP
Have you tried "ganging" up on him? Persuading other races to declare war on him? Thereby giving him a war on several fronts? TIP
I find it unrealistic that other races surrender when they're allied, since they would not have to stand alone in a conflict...? I hope it would be possible to make less likely to surrender if you're allied? TIP
"Even stranger (but perhaps necessary) is the fact that the human player is always the "founder" of the UP, since the only races in it are the ones that contacted the computer player." - Well, when you take into account the backstory of GC, it is not that uncommon. Prior to our arrival, contact, trade and diplomacy was limited therefore no serious need for such a forum. But with the advent of Hyperdrive and an increasingly smaller universe
You can try to buy the Torians Starbases...? My problem is the starbases of minor races. I am not able to see what ship/starbases they own, so I can't trade or buy it from them... Is there anyway to remedy this? I thought first to increase intelligence about the minor race might do it, as it says we need to increase our espionage efforts to increase our knowledge, but I dont see where or how to do that...?
"on the other hand, an event like that can make a game pretty unique, and since everyone gets it isn't all that bad for you." - I think the problem would be that how could one know of Star Federation as a Government system, when none of the Civs has researched Int. Stellar Rep, let alone Star Fed... Personally, it would'nt be a problem. My goal is to achieve that form of Government anyway, so sooner the better, but for the realis
I don't really think that works, since if you were to set pricing lower in undeveloped regions, then could'nt we all just buy the game from a retailer in that area online? I think the best bet for someone with a lower income, whether they live in Canada, China, Campodia, Chile, Cameroon or the Czech Republic is to shop around, or wait a while before buying. Prices do generally drop atleast a bit as time goes by for games. TIP <
First off, I want to apologize if this has already been adressed. There are so many threads that it is easy to overlook one. Solar Systems with uninhabitable planets; is it possible to make them habitable? Not by terraforming, but natual oocurance through the game. It usually does'nt take long before all habitable planets are taken, it would be a little more fun if you're able to colonize planets later in the game as well. Dark Yor; why are they in the game? Are'nt the
DP Phoenix: Perhaps you should come here and play the campaign. You could finish it again, so I can see the story lines. I am not interested in the campaign, just the story lines behind it. TIP
Hey! Are there any Cheat Codes on Gal Civ II? First thing, I am playing the Campaign. I don't relly like playing Campaigns, but I want to find out about the Dread Lords and therefore need to play it. But I want to play it as fast and easy as possible... Hope I am not offending someone by asking for Cheat Codes after only a few hours of access to the game? From what I've seen the game seems awesome, although I am a bit disappointed that the Torians w
Watching the Olympics. Getting annoyed, as we seems to be falling short in several events... Also playing some BotF (Glad to see I'm not the only one.) Citizen Martok, you playing with the Ultimate Mod? TIP
It seems my original post disappeared. Maybe the system does not tolerate Norwegian letters? I am from Stjordal, Norway. Just outside Trondheim. TIP
I did not receive my pre-order email with serial either. But I got a response yesterday for a n email I sent friday of last week. Before receiving a response to an email I sent back, I signed up to these forums, and found a button where I could request serials, which I did and I received them. I then DLed Stardock Central and then continued to DL Gal Civ II. Now just waiting for the game to come online... TIP
Is there any future thoughts on publishing these manuscripts? I'd love to get my hands on a copy. What I read sounded amazing. I love Sci-Fi! TIP PS! If you are selling or giving out copies, please let me know at [email protected]
