October 16th? That seems quite soon considering the number of bugs and glitches and concept ideas that are still being tossed around on these threads. Now, I'm no programming expert, but I just think that 1.5 monthes ain't going to be enough time to address everything that needs addressing... Being the end consumer, I'd rather the game take longer to release, but release right...rather than the ot
Nasarog
Why? Wasn't the plan to do as many possible stages of the beta until the game was not only feature complete but also bug free??? There are people reporting the same bugs since beta one and some complaining about having issues since E:WoM. Did something change?
I am staying away from windows 8. I am going to get some souped up version of win 7, but that's about it.
That is the pupose of a beta nasarog---out of the ten thousand we have ---maybe--in this beta....just a number pulled out of my butt based on the number of views for this forum. Out of the ten thousand if we have a couple hundred with missing 3d models and one of them in the future is a reviewer...boom. Or just the fact that Myself on a commercial machine with windows 7 ONE UPGRADE- a radeon 6450 vid card and NO funky software, cant see 3d mode
Hmmm, that's rough. I know the game save corrupts are an issue, and they are being addressed. It looks like they did some work towards that goal in this latest patch/update. The 3d issues, might be specific to your or a few other configs, and I do not know if they can devote a team to trouble shoot only a couple of computer setups. With pc gaming there are soooo many combinations possible. The UI issues, yea, I completely agree there, but again, it's mostly a few peo
I know I might catch flack for this, but I'll ask anyways. I see some of the same people complaining about the same stuff. Since I do not follow closely what these complaints are really about, and I am worried that FE will have a similar launch to E:WoM, can each person write out their complaints in a rational voice. I am not looking to argue, I am just very curious what these complaints are since they are spread out over many thread all over the board. </p
Interesting idea, but I too dislike the +food/essence etc. I do not want an outpost spam either. I don't have anything to add just yet though.
I was bored of it after reading the review on space sector.
I religiously watch yours and Seanw's let's play vids. I am getting my fix that way. Sometimes I have to stop myself from pointing stuff out to you during the playback as if I was actually there and this was a LAN party or something. I am unable to play at the moment because I am trying to resolve a computer issue and I'm in the process of deciding wether to upgrade my existing rig, trying to build a new one or getting a laptop. It's a conundrum.
I'd like to add one more for this request.
I thought much the same way for a while but after much thought I came to a different solution. Give monster lairs a zone of control(ZOC). Make it so that cities and outposts can not be built within a monster lairs ZOC. The monster lair must be eliminated before cities and outposts can be built there.
I like this part of your idea. The spawning of monsters every x amount of turns might be too much.
I don't think so, I just think a better UI is needed for multiple stacks. Like rendering 2-3 small armies on the square instead of just the top army.
My issue with most games is that instead of so many "stacks of doom" there should be things like warbands, warparty, etc. Call it what you will, but fighting stack after stack is very annoying and generally not fun for me. &nbs
Agreed. I'd like to add that there should be a limit as to how many "stacks" there are on a single tile as well. That would motivate the player to research larger groups.
Essence might need to be adjusted, but I like it. Though I do see what you mean, and the only retort I have is "it's magic".
Looks like this is somewhat addressed in 0.951
If a dev showed any interest in bringing this back, I would elaborate and make it scientifically accurate as to normal reproduction would be, as well as the distribution of magic amongst the progeny, pregnancy risk/success etc. I could work the theoretical numbers and whatnot. I just wouldn't know how to implement this because I am not a programmer/coder. In essence, it wouldn't be too complicated for the layman, but it would be somewhat accurate and
That's an interesting idea, a faction that is more powerful without magic in a world where mages are kings/queens. How would that work?
These units better be extremely expensive.
Never realized that it was made by a single guy. Wow.
I wish they would develop it properly. It was one of my favorite features, and not because of it's OP aspect either.
When I say it's ugly, I do not mean that it's ugly as a 2D game and I want 3D. I love Star Control. It's a dated game, but SC2 wasn't ugly by a long shot. They need to make it less ugly. I'm looking now at Star Drive, another 4x that is 2D in the SC2 style that isn't ugly. If I am looking at paying $60-$80 for the game with expansions, ugly isn't what I want.
ANother vote for redoing the auto-road placement, or giving us control of road design again.
I love your let's play vids.
I love your ideas. +1 from me.
Can some one give an in-depth review of this title with it's two expansions??? I am looking at buying it, but I am having a hard time getting past the graphics.
