Give people too much freedom and they freak out cause they do not know how to handle it. They like the security of having "safety walls" and don't tend to try and push beyond the limitations. The real irony, people want the freedom to change things (skin them), but only to a certain point... anything beyond established boundries is jumping too much into the "unstructured"... People fear the unknown.

A full day at work using build 2505 and everything is running great. It's looking like Win XP is shaping up into one hell of an OS.

My complaint is that my Logitech Cordless trackball driver doesn't work still..... arghhhh,...... I know it's a third party vendor issue, but ya'd figure that someone like Logitech would be in tune already eh?? Logitech, get with the damn program will ya......

In the series of releases Microsoft does in testing the software, they go from Beta 1 to Beta 2. When they have somewhat of a stable platform that is nearing readiness, they label it Release candidate where place the code in feature lock. From that point, it will go from Release Candidate 1 to Release candidate 2 and possibly 3 before it goes into production for retail. This is a general description of the process.
Just downloaded the latest release of Winders XP which was moved to Release Candidate 1 today. The install was simple and fast and the OS is running smoothly so far. Looks like MS is sure making some great progress with this OS.
I'll be running XP on two of my home machines and 2000 on the other.

Most definitely an eraser point mouse. I can't stand touchpad since I can't navigate with it.
