What can i watch with new monitor? in Personal Computing WinCustomize Forums

Hi guys, i have just bought a 24" Benq 1080p monitor for my birthday (lucky boy) and have a real noob question.... here goes; what can i watch on it? I know i can use blue ray, ps3, but what about say an AVI file? Is it as simple as downloading something high def, or does the monitor need to be connected to a high def graphics card? I currently have a 8800 GTS 320mb. Any help would be great, as i really have no idea! Yhx guys Offica

hi karmaGirl, im using XP pro. The packages im using have 48, 68, 72, 128, 256 (most of them) but when i try the bigger sizes (anything above 72) (even if i have tagged the "use big icons box") they revert to something smaller. Will it work, or should it work? Cheers, Offi

Biggest icon with iconpackager? in Icons WinCustomize Forums

Hey all, just got a new 24" monitor for my birthday (lucky boy), and would like to use bigger icons. Problem is i cant seem to resize them above 72 pixels. (with iconpackager) So, anyone know how i can use large icons, 128 would be ideal. Cheers Offica

many thx all, but i think im gonna give toolbars a miss. I have tried numerous times now, and they always go wrong, (ie when you mouse over the folders icon, its a total different image, scissors or something), or the back forward arrows still contain black circle backrounds. Ive tried to edit the images myself, or cut and paste, and still it goes ballz up, so i give up. Maybe i took on too much by trying blinds and these at the same time. Thx for all your help, Of

ok, thx, but im still a little unsure as how to use this template? Do i do my icons in the top free bit, or in the boxes at the bottom? I really cant work this out..... lol, i know i suck. But be gentle, it is my first time!

Hi, well, the very first step to a new comer...... have you double clicked on a theme (the small thumbnails by the bottom scrollbar), or pressed the "apply my changes" button when youve selected one to use? Sorry if this sounds like a bizzare question, but if ya dont know ....... Offica

Zubar, i had 10,000 hits in under 1 week,........................ i dont think i have "attitude" to ask a simple question, or to make it bumped. I genually had a problem, and no reply. But the guy who had "i cant resize an icon" did. What does that tell you?

Well, after just about giving up, i sorted the problem. I was using bmps' instead of tga files, and when applied, bingo, common tasks dissapears. So, many thx for all the help (not) and i look forward to coming back to these forums for the great support.

ok, for number 2, you place the image where you want it by editing the "user Picture" content margin. On the left hand side of skinstudio, select start panel, user pane, user picture. Then on right hand side, change the "content margins" numbers till it fits. For the first question, RIGHT click on the part you want to change, ie the white bit you have, and choose "import from file", then chose the directory (windowblind) with the new graphic you want to put there inste

Ive lost the common tasks window when skinned in Skinning WinCustomize Forums

Hi, im on my third windowblind skin now, and have just skinned the "common tasks" (task panel), and when the skin is applied, it totally dissapears? Its either all icons in window, or folders view. (yes, common tasks is on in folder options). Its fine if i apply another skin, but gone when i apply the new one? Please, any ideas?
