Hi I am a relative newcomer to Desktop X and i wanted to know is there any child safe desktop themes out there? You know something where there is a limited number of choices open to the user I.E selected URL shortcuts / programs. I'd like to give my daughter her own user profile on this PC and have the theme start as soon as she logs in? Is the even possible?

One idea (other than introducing a tiered subs package) could be to "tax" really popular skins. So say once a skin reaches a 1000 downloads in a set period of time you could add a cost to download that skin. Maybe you could share any monies made by the download with the author. That way you wouldn't alienate skinners, but you get
Maybe I should say newer themes. These are 2 years old. Thats a good point. But my thoughts are Is there any discernible difference in the quality of the skins release daily on WC and the premium skins that are for sale? I say no!
I'm not certain that your approach would work. I for one only ever download 1 or 2 skins a week let alone a day. I wonder how many people actually download several skins everyday? I think ultimately if Stardock/Wincustomize want the community to help keep the site going they will have to either severely limit the downloading of content or add something to the package that user cannot get at the moment. I was wandering whether offering different subscription types might help? You know you could keep the "top band" package at $20 and maybe a lower package that would include unlimited downloads and premium skins but not any webspace or upload privileges for maybe $14.99. Hi, Your CPU temperature is fine but as you say the MB temperature is too high. First thing i would check is that Sisoft is reporting your MB correctly? Sometimes the program can get confused and give erroneous readings. Try downloading and installing Motherboard monitor as well, maybe that will give you a more accurate reading. I wouldn't worry about turning your monitor on and off. They're designed for constant use in office env

I think everyone's being very harsh on wincustomize. I think that a lot people have come to expect free content on the net and think nothing of the vast amount of work that goes into making a site such as this work. I suspect that the only other sites that get traffic like wincustomize are the big hitter such as amazon or microsoft and believe me they invest huge amounts of money (usually your money) into keeping their sites running correctly. <br
Hi, Please forgive me if this question has been answered elsewhere. I am trying to create a tabbed dock for shortcuts to drives and folders in various places on my PC. I know how to add a shortcut and realise that i have to point it at explorer.exe but i have no idea how to add a argument. I.E have explorer open c:/windows/messenger/myrecieved files. HELP!!
