now they just have to get one like a triryche, and I will be happy.

As far as I know, the scrollbars in IE are not really scrollbars at all, but some kind of control, and Windowblinds will NOT be able to skin them.
Can you tell I just woke up? Typing skills suck this morning.
How much do you want to customize it? OB actually hides/replaces it. Desktopx, Hoverdesk, Litestep (and all of it's shootoffs), Nextstart can all do the same thing to one extent or another. I just depends on what you want it to do and how you want it to look. Thee are plenty of app launchers if that is all you want. If you want o use your existing task bar, Windowblinds would probably do the trick for you, possibly with the Bandvwm plugin from Control Center.
hehe, currently running with P3 1ghz, 512 Ram, TNT2 32 meg, 5 HD's, DVD, CD-Burner, LS-120, Floppy Windows, lights, fans, etc. The only thing I am missing is that when I was running Win98, I had an atapi tape drive running with direct tape access. I am still not satisfied Seriously though, I do want a faster video card, and am restling between a geforce 3, or one of the new radeons. My problem is that the more powerful I make my PC, the more STUFF I try to make it do. I would like to be able to
Douglas Quebbeman, Ge0ph, Allen Bond, Bob Starck-Higgins, Dangeruss. All have been mentioned before, but they are my favorites. One that has not been mentioned is Tin_Omen. He doesn't release very much as compared to other theme authors, but in the early days of Litestep he was a very big influence. I came upon the skinning community around the time of LS b23 and knew what my desktop had been missing for so long. I was very involved in BBS customization, and very much missed that kind of stuff.<
What manager are you trying to load them with? Each of the themes/skins on the site uses different programs (thus the different areas), you will want to follow the links from each section to actually download and install that particular program.
not that kind of skin Buzz_Hog.
That's cause it is still in beta. You can only download it now if you have subscribed to Object Desktop. Once it is out of beta (or maybe even closer to release than it is now), they will probably put it up for download to the general public.
I agree that their is no sense in getting worked up over it. They probably should add a disclaimer along the lines of "this site is primarily supported through a grant provided by Stardock, blah blah, and so on", but other than that, no big deal. I primarily use Stardocks stuff, as it is well written, well supported, and will probably be around for awhile. I also use Nextstart and lots of other small apps. When I want litestep themes, I go to ls.com, and make the rounds of several other sites as
x10 kicks ass. Fortunately you can use their xray-vision program (free) with usb webcams, thus NOT spening $89+ on their cameras . Other than that, I have several rooms running off of X-10 modules.
56k here and much faster loading, although considering that it's 5:30am, that might have something to do with it.
or the easter bunny
I'm just the opposite. I do ok editing existing skins, and can put a pretty decent theme together. I still pretty much suck at actually coming up with the design and actually producing art.
A Cursorex section . Being able to log in and see your stats on the main page (ala skinz.org. I think this was mentioned up above by Boxxi as well.
I tend to agree with this. I spent 13 years in a job where I averaged 5-6 weekends off work/year. No Holidays (including Christmas). I noticed a post up above that came close to discussing the quality vs quantity time argument and I believe that it is actually a good mix of both that benefits children. Spending so many years working 70-90 hour weeks left me NO time (quality or otherwise) for my children. I took a pretty big paycut to get my current position which offers me the time off that
np not sure what that was all about. think i missed something there.
You can get the theme here: http://www.lavendise.com/themes/faetheme.zip There are also a couple of plus themes, and kaleidoscope themes as well.
once I get home from work I will find it. burned all of my ls stuff to cd a couple of weeks ago. getting ready to do a rebuild and hate losing stuff, especially with so many theme sites vanishing. I like it. It was the 2nd theme I used, after the default LS theme from .24 by Tin.
Still have that fairie one here, it's called lavendise fairies or something like that. my daughter loves it. Got permission from the author (Kris Kringle) to port it to darkstep.
Palm M100. Will eventually upgrade to something a bit more expensive, but it does what I want. Use it all the time.
Been out of town all week, so haven't had a chance to DL the newsgroups. How has the CD done? Was the initial response pretty decent. Just curious mainly. I know I ordered it, but haven't heard much about it since the release.
waiting for LOTR and Harry Potter. My son will be taking me, of course
