the main difference is that stardock seems to care about the quality of the game primarily, not merely chasing the cash as other game designers do. keep it up!

hi guys I dont often post on galciv forums but i just gotta congratulate u all on this mod. been playin it for a few weeks now and it doesn't even playing galciv2 it feels like a legitimate star trek game, everything birth of the federation should have been. Dont u guys think $25 for an expansion pack is a bit high? I bought the game of amazon.co.uk for £15, (which is about $25) Paying same price for expansion as full game seems a bit hmm.... P.S It's been a while since i've been on these forums, like it much better with new design!

Im playing on intelligent. The max setting in which the AI doesn't cheat i believe and I think this is too easy. Hopefully the next update will sort the AI out

You can enforce your border by placing a ship at every sinle space around your borders. Would take a lot of ships but that would be the only way to do it in reality

I just had a massive war with the arceans and it took so long coz they had a beefed up military base which made all their ships awesome. I only wanted teo of thier planets near my terrritory but the war took about 75 turns and about 50 ships lost each and all because of thier military base. I had to build one nearby just to compete

Oh yeah, if you're at war with them, sometimes they'll laugh at you and saying they're surrendering to XX to basically spite you. God I hope that doesn't happen too often that used to annoy the hell out of me in galciv1. Imagine at the end of WW2 if the nazi's surrendered to the Mongolians! Just a thought. Be careful when upgrading the Yor AI, as you are in effect creating the actual software version of the Yor. Make sure it cant escape like on terminator 3.

its not quite like RTW coz you dont control the battles. Its more like Civ really
