Yea, I hope Im wrong, but an earlier dev post in this thread only said that military techs are hard to trade, (I can see that a little, but Ii should be possible for a superdiplomat with further advanced diplomacy techs to work over some of the other races for some military tech at a good price), It was never said in the post that the problem is being looked at at all. I'm still hoping though. They have a great track record.

I for one feel this patch has ruined my playstyle for me. Unfortunately It doesn't sound like the devs are going to do anything about it. Im kinda bummed out. It was a great game. It got me to quit World of Warcraft(the constant nerfs helped me quit too). Hopefully something will change or they will make a new game sometime in the future thats good for a while, until nerf time anyhow.
I don't think Id like a game without tech trading. The Diplomatic options are already (IMO) the weakest part of a great game. Being able to swing deals and have a trading advantage should be a part of researching Diplomacy in lieu of other techs. A loss of a trading advantage especially with a racial bonus that is supposed to be a "super ability" is just beyond a nerf. It's the elimination of an entire style of gameplay. They probably should have just turned tech trading off. I ma
Has the new patch nerfed Diplomacy and tech trading. I play Terran (my favorite aspect was the super diplomat). Now I can hardly trade any techs with super diplomat and other Diplomacy techs on top of that. Super diplomat is now useless and the xpac kind of a wash now that there is nothing new added to my type of game play.
Here are some of mine..... The best Heroes of Might and Magic 3 my all time favorite Starcraft Diablo (first one) Age of Empires 2 Neverwinter Nights 1 World of Warcraft (for about a year till the XP only introduced more grinding and riding chickens) GalCiv 1 and 2 both great games Bad games.....There are so many unfortunately. Usually If I dont like it, I uninstall it and thats the end of it so I cant thin
That happened to me too, I lost a few turns having to load up an old game save
I'm still on my first game of DA. I am spending most of my time changing settings to get the game from running very choppy. I have a pretty old system, 1.6 Pentium 4 768 Ram Gforce 5200 128 mb graphics card. I made sure I had at least 2 gig vmemory DA worked well enough on the highest settings (choppy movies) and with my real player running in the background, but even on the lowest video settings(which kinda makes the game unplayable to me), it is still choppy an
Ok I get it now. Awesome. I might not ever get around to play the game, I'm spending my time in the shipyard.
I have a graphics problem also. On the ship editor 1 cargo, 1 , small, 1 medium hull show up on the screen as a cube surrounded by red stuff Not all of the hulls do this just 1 of each type.
Great Thanks. I will be ordering shortly. I can't wait.
If I purchase the DA in the box, can I download before I get it, like you can with the original game or the gold edition.
Ok thanks for the info. Yea that hotkey card sounds nice.
I was deciding weather to order the box copy or DL. How much is shipping (USA). I didn't want to fill out all the info and then find out the shipping was too much. Also is there any type of manual in the boxed version? Thanks
Aweswome. The quad core thing is pretty cool, But im more excited that a Fantasy themed strategy game is coming.....
I'm 36
I vote fo the first one. Add the features and release the xpac when it's ready. Im just hoping theese new features include lots of new diplomacy options.
If I have to DL it I will. But I'l waiting to see what the new diplomacy options are before I buy.
I'm having this problem with the Arceans as well. Im Terran and have tossed all kinds of stuff toward the Arceans throught the game, cause I knew they were going to be tough (because this good race does nothing but militarly take over civs the whole game). But anyhow all the other cive became close to me only through tech trading and regular trading. Evil civs were giving me $$ and I was good aligned. My game settings are on normal too.
The AI never has formed an alliance in any of the games I have plyed. I ve only played challenging, but they used to do it all of the time in Gciv1 no matter what level.
I need to know also......Thanks
I've been in hoping for an option like that myself, for starbases and ships camping right in front of one of my planets.
Awesome!!!
No. I'll pay for the game, and I'll pay for expansion packs, but I wont be nickel and dimed to have different ship parts that should be made by the community and distributed for free. The ship parts should just be part of an x-pack.
Hmm? You make no sense, obviously you never played this type of game multiplayer before. Its people like this that know absolutely nothing that think multiplayer is a bad idea. [2nd Lieutenant] [Yor] [Normal] Yea people never complain and want the things nefred in a MP game........... Silly me. Really hard to make sense there....
Some of the thinks Id like to see in a XP.............. 1. map @ scenairo editor. I think it's a must. Theres even an ingame option to choose a custom map. 2. improved diplomacy. I want to tell the AI that hes building that starbase too close to me, or to get his ships away from my planet. and just jave other ways of communicationg to the AI. Also make the UP more of an impact on game play. right now we just vote no on new taxes. maybe a pulldown list of things I
