I don't follow how having a possible "0" rolled on attack helps the attack 3 ship in your scenario achieve victory? Also, with an attack 3, and a 1/1/1 defence, I believe the total defence will be 1 (+ square root of 1 or 0 +square root of one or 0). This means if you score a 2 or a 3 on the attack roll, you'll deal 1 or 2 damage per attack. Or does the square root rule round UP?

How did it go? Is there a transcript yet?
Sentences have 2 spaces after them, not one. FYI. Otherwise, this thread is probably a great idea!
I could probably watch gameplay movies of this all day. I would love to see more gameplay of fleet battles, those never get old. How about a movie of a HUGE battle?
I hope you guys consider publshing some of those for sites like Gamespot or IGN to host, they are VERY cool, and very well done. I am more excited about the game having seen them than before, and believe if others could view them, they wouldn't hesitate to click "buy it now"
My download folder is over a Gigabyte after all four options were downloaded (the game, tutorials, multimedia, movies). I installed Bink and am happily watching the tutorials, which are very well done. Something strange about hearing the poweruser.tv podcasts for the last few months then hearing Kristen doing the voice work on the tutorials. Not bad strange, just familiar strange. I only watched a couple of them so far, but they are excellent.
You sure can, when the write reviews for a game on a FORUM and even include screenshots, especially when that forum is for not only an entirely different game, but a whole other GENRE!
Looking over the list of features this game has thanks to not working on a MP side, I'm not only glad it doesn't have MP, but there are a laundry list of games I wish NEVER had it.
If you pre-order the game from Stardock you get the Collector's Edition PLUS the ability to download it while you wait (you're given a temporary serial # while you wait for your package to arrive). What exactly comes with the collector's edition? I have a pre-order for the electronic DL version, but I'd much rather have a boxed copy of the gam
Interesting that a GOLD screenshot has a grammatical error which was not only missed in QnA but also posted for all to see. So interesting, I had to stare at it for 3 or 4 minutes trying to figure out if I'd lost my mind.
Hi! I recently read the journal detailing the small battle between the AI in an effort to tweak the AI, and I saw lots of shots of combat. How does combat work in this game? Is it like MOO2 in that it's ships taking a turn opening fire with equiped weapons, or is it more like MOO3 in that there are lots of ships flying around and attacking in real time with little input from the player? Any information on this would be great! Thanks!
I only just realized this game was in development, and am interested in pre-ordering for what looks like about 45 bucks, but if I pre-order tonight, will I still qualify to get in on the beta? I see the news post regarding this is several months old, so for all I know the beta is actually already underway. Thanks in advance!
