I'm not big on decorating the house. We move a lot. So what's the point? I'm a minimalist anyway. We just had a baby girl. Yesterday I read something that made me feel kinda sorry for how little regard I'd been giving to her cognitive developmental needs. I'd been taking the lax approach...you know, "just feed them and love them; that's what's important."

After a little trimming on the eyebrows...y'know stuff like that... But look at that smile. That smile comes from a genuinely happy man. When you feel good inside, how can you help but look good on the outside? What a catch he'd be. Ahhhhhhhhhh, he
Insomniac Angela signing in again. Yes ForeverSerentity, wow, I've never been so showered by anyone before!! You really overwhelmed us when we opened your package and went through it. The gorgeous outfits just kept coming and coming. So many different savvy styles, in just the right sizes that she'll be in as the seasons progress...just WOW. I don't feel like saying "Thank You" is enough. If I'm never able to shower you in kind, you better b
I'd sworn off the TV for sure...then I swore off the computer. It made life more peaceful, made it easier for me to focus on my kids. Instead of getting mad every time they interrupted me. Nope. How rude of me to EVER put my own interests before attending to their needs. Yesterday I spent an hour on the computer and boy, did I pay for it later. It was WWIII in our hou
And thanks to you lh for introducing me to RockYou It's a fun lil' site.

Hey, it's John. Sometime I wish that I could breastfeed so that I can be that close to April. But since men can't that means that I stuck being the go-for boy while Angela is feeding. I get to spend time with April in the bath and at playtime when she's done feeding. Basicly I'm here for moral support until she is less dependent on her mother and more on the both of us. I don't think that I would buy a breast pump though. When Michael was little it was
Did John tell you I called? Yes, thank you! Gosh I wish we weren't so far apart. Why can't good friends be closer? Congrats again and I'm glad all is well. </TA
The construction on your house is so exciting! You must feel as tingly as a child on Christmas morning. I love the new fireplace. (I hope Steve gets outta there before you turn on the fire.)
I'd say as long as you keep your latent fear active, you won't repeat the cycle. Well said. Hang in there LH. I had to walk away from my son today too before I did something regrettable. That little Brat. (((HUGS)))
: : Yep, there he is! But I recall at least one photo that you forgot to black out his eyes on. He looks happy here! Glad you didn't black out his smile.
Guess what greeted us at the door as we brought our new daughter home a couple days ago? The mailman had delivered a too-big-for-the-mailbox package right inside our house. I saw the name, "Brandie," on the package and smiled. You gave our family a warm fuzzy right off the bat. You Joes are so awesome. Our new little girl is so pink, cuddly, and quiet. I've b
Hi, I'm John. Angela has given me permission to announce the birth of our new baby girl. April was born at 0835 on 8 November. She weighs 5 lbs 13 ozs, and is 18 3/4 inches long. Mother and baby are resting well and will hopefully return home on Friday. Thanks to all who followed the pregnancy. Angela will do her JoeUser thing as soon as she gets home and I'm sure it'
That's so neat to see pictures of your kids! You're a fun mommy No doubt you guys had a great time.
You know, the more I read about you, the more I realize we're the same. That's interesting...one thing I love about writing is that we get to see inside each other's heads...something that casual, real-life acquaintances don't get to do until they've invested a lot of time into the friendship. I think f
I have such a happy glow. **BIG GRIN** How wonderful that you've heard from him already. I can almost see your glow all the way over here Sorry the kids *sort of* missed it. But I'll bet HW soaked it all in! Hmm, I wonder if he'
I'm registered as a Colorado voter, but we move a lot. The absentee ballots usually follow me around as we're always moving to obscure places around the planet, but I haven't received one yet. Not being very politically aware, I wouldn't normally be concerned. I simply read the issues they provide in the book, or if that's more than I care to know I *gasp*
Funny you mentioned this. My husband told me about it the second day it came out, only because I asked him what the heck IE7 means. I guess I saw it somewhere. So I downloaded it too...but the one reason I've never switched to Mozilla is the tabs. Now with IE7 I've got those very tabs I've been trying to avoid : : I have a habit of pressing Alt+tab to switch between window
I'm completely overwhelmed by the kindness of Dharma. The other day by accident I caught an article she wrote...and it moved me to tears. Then I noticed another one of her recent articles in the margin...I saw the title and was even more overwhelmed. I just didn't know what to say. I sent the links to my husband, with the subject line, "Wow, look what's going on at Jo

P.S. I feel a ripple effect coming on. You're spreading joy and it makes me want to spread joy too !
Oh Dharma! I got on here to write about some of the cute things my son does, before the baby takes over... Then I saw my name in the recent article list?? As I read my eyes welled up with tears. Could you be any sweeter? With your endorphin rush + the joy of giving...you are as wonderful as you feel! ((((Karen)))) Gosh I don't know what to say. I could go on gushing all day. Thank you, thank you kind, swee
This just in: In two weeks we'll be packing up all our stuff and moving. That would all be fine and dandy, but we're also scheduled to have a baby in two weeks. But really I think it's kind of exciting. We're just hoping I don't go into labor while we're packing and moving. Any time before or after that will be fine. The house we're mo
