Hi, a new player here, just wanted to say that your commitment to patching the game made me buy Elemental: FE.It's a great game and I am looking forward to further improvements. Also I wanted to communicate a little worry about a small part of the patch notes. It seems that some of the balance changes are really drastic. E.g. you double the casting cost of Destiny's gift AND decrease its effectiveness substantially. I suspect that a smaller pace of steady balance chang

Thanks for the responses. Actually I did mean an expansion bundle, the $ 40 bundle is just what I was looking for. I just didn't find it, since it wasn't listed on the Galciv2 main site. Okay, I'll probably buy it. I just have to get some work done on my master's thesis first - if I buy the game I probably won't get anything done .
Are you going to make a discount bundle for the two expansions? I haven't purchased Dark Avatar yet, and would probably buy both expansions if you offer them at a discount.
Just to clarify: Still having pretty big graphical oddities in combat and in the ship editor.
That seems to solve most of the problem for me. Previously, Yor ships were displayed the worst of all. They seem fine now, but my own ships still don't seem to work. No more crashes now though. Thanks! Changing the decimal settings back and forth gets a bit tedious, though =p.
Hello, all prior versions of Galciv2 have worked fine on my machine, but with the new beta patch I'm having problems. In the ship builder, the textures don't display properly. What shows is a big clump of colors and some actual ship parts. In combat I'm seeing some of the ships I built but other ships are just big clumps of color. (if someone can tell me how to make a screenshot of Galciv2 I will post an example). After fleet combat the game always crashes. Please solve this is
I'm not sure if I like the idea. Won't it cause compability problems with ship designs? Right now, the door is open for people to share their awesome ship designs on the net. I don't want to design what my own ships look like, because I lack the time and possibly the talent to design really cool looking ones. I'd much rather download ships others have made. But if there are extra ship packs, design using the packs will not necessarily be compatible wit
Good read! But why not put more of this stuff inside the game, as well? I never really found the Galciv story all that immersive before reading this, hardly any of this is told in game. I'd like to at least see events giving the player such story information in text. Or how about an in-game galactic library giving huge amounts of background knowledge about the Drengin, Terrans, Torians, Arceans, Korx society, Thalans coming from an alternative future and so on? If you don't have the t
Lots of good ideas. I want to add my vote for some randomness in the tech tree (ALA moo1). The MOO1 tech tree was great, really added lots of replayability. I just hope that you keep two things in mind while planning the tech tree: 1) is this more fun than in the original? 2) Are there several viable research strategies for the player to take, rather than just a race to certain important techs?
=0 ALIGN="absmiddle"> Burrowing.. yeah, sounds good. But it's still going to be a great deal more expensive to live somewhere like that. I guess that's why it cost so much to colonize a world below class 15 in Galciv.

Here. I'm a new face around here.
ut we hope to get a beta of it out early next year for Altarian Prophecy users.
game good, and a good game a classic.
put up a good fight for most of the game, though.
That's great .
Good points from all, keep them coming.
, and made trading much more important.. I don't recall any game that has done the same after that, but it was a great system. Does anyone remember what I'm talking about? I think something like this might be a cool feature in GalCiv 2.
Yeah, they make Phoenixes and Corvettes to fight my Avatars even tho they have Overlord tech
Hey guys, The AI in GalCiv is one of the best in strategy games. But to help make the AI in GalCiv2 even better, maybe it would be helpful if we all list some of the weak spots we've discovered during intensive Galciv play . My comments are based on the AI at bright level, examples are from the AP campaign. Here's a few: -AI doesn't kno
Sounds awesome!
