If they have say 4 beam and 3 missile, those roll as separate attacks and the defence gets a roll against each. Are you sure? Multi-attack ships ar crap then, but computer allways builds them, so AI is crap? I don't think so... Damn, how does it work then?

So, my factories are running at 100% capacity, spread evenly between military and social. Then I move the research up, so that I have Military 33%, Social 33%, research 34%. Does this mean that my factories are only running at 66%, and my labs at 34%? This doesn't seem like 100% capacity to me. Exactl
The big issue was when you discovered a new civil technology. You would have your economy humming along nicely and then all of a sudden, everything is upgraded, so your economy was running massively in the red. With me, there is allways something upgradeing, everywhere, well, except on the planet wit
On a more serious note, I do agree with you, upgrading should upgrade to newer versions of current components not replace them completely different ones. I don't agree, what if I'm upgrading from lasers5 to plasma2, because lasers are smaller for less damage, and plasmas are larger for more damage, so
My thougt exactly, I just cant play anything else, just Yor in 100 different versions, well, 3 games for now... I wanted to play humans today, but they seemed so underpowered, so week, so i just decided to play Yor again and exterminate the puny humans!
i built a ship with plasma weapons, the smallest for 2 damage was 9 space big, and smallest point defense was 6 space big, so the trade on the ship was 4 damage less for 6 amrmor more, i think the armor is better
hmmm, a thought, the battles are made in that way, that the biggest firepower, smallest HP/DEF ships are attacked first, but, what if they are not a threat at all, like 25hp 0 armor and 10 lasers, while you have 10 shields; while his capital ship have 100hp, 15 mass drivers and 10 armor (you have 15 mass drivers), those small buggers are not realy as big threat as the big capital ship is, even with their combined firepower against your shields...
I would just like to see some cool options to "terraform" class 0 planets, some of them could be like earth, but polluted so much that the strong acid rain is falling all of the time (PQ0, noone can live there, can they?) ; so you build SOMETHING, maby go there with a ship that have "atmosphere purifier" module on it, spend 5 turns there and you get a PQ2 planet with 2 green squares, 6 yellow squares for soil enhancement (because the acid rain has dest
I think it's only with information warfare, invade with 1000M men, enemy have population of 4000M; information warrfare gets you 400M people, so it's 1400VS3600; then you win by and have 100 people left and BAM; you have one million billion people! I loaded the game, and it happened again and again and again... had to use mass drivers...<img src="http://images
yeah, faster healing rate would be cool, but not 25%, maybe 10%... ...also, i don't know if oyu have noticed, but if you park damaged ships in orbit of a planet, they are repaired very quickly!
i think it would be cool to build some shielding technology or waste purifier or something like that, and bang, PQ 0 planet becomes PQ 1 to 15 (random), so you could invest in planet and get crap (big chance), good(ok chance) or even very good planet (small chance).... let's say in our solar system, there is a plenet called Venus, it's realy cool planet, but it have toxic atmosphere (sulphuric acid etc...), if you are advanced enough, you co
it happens to me when i load the game i also found out when the bug where you have 5231123451.4 BILLION people on the conquered planet happen mostly, it's when you attack with let say 1000 troops, go with information warfare to get 200 people, and win the battle with 100 peple left!
yes, the screen dims slightly when autosaving, who cares, as long as you play without problems
research points go over, social does not, i had planet that could build 1 building per turn, and i put everything in social production, it was still 1 turn (while it sould be something like 3 per 1 turn...) same goes to military, but for military, i think that you don't lose cash spend for nothing...
you have spent your money on research and buildings, while his spendings were on starships...
Noone found this interesting, or you just don't want to reply? I find this very interesting, because with just one factory, i had production AND research, can do it in any of future games i play...
Well, the solution to losing your movement is pretty easy... you do all your stuff first, then control the other race. Presto. Only thing that might be bad is that the AI may do stuff with your diplomacy that you don´t want it to... Doesn't work that way, when you press end turn, the computer gets
Well, i've gained 700% bonus manufacturing on one square, and i was allways ahead in research with no labs at all! Playing Yor, here's the research Here's demonstration money distribution, military at 100% (3bc for research is probably from PQ4 planet with research focus, ignore it)
happened to me, 20:4 on 1000vs5000 troops... should kind of randomise that thing so it wouldn't happen...
when i dont know where the habitable planet is, I send my colony ship to first star system with more planets, and if i dont find it, i go to the next one, but i find it most of the time...
if you dont like the random event that happened, just load last autosave...
me and my friend tried to play the game of hotseat by hitting cheat CTRL-SHIFT-Z, and tried all kind of variations but it didn't work so well... the best option we could think off was to play the human player's turn, press ctrl+shift+z on computer player, play his turn; that part is very good, BUT, when we hit "end turn", computer plays with the "other" player, gains next turn movement and everything, and he spend the movement and builds stuff... even
Hotseat: 1. start game with cheats enabled 2. when game started, un first turn use CTRL + T , to teleport your scout to the homeworld of the player that you want to be Player2 ( which you can see by looking at the influence areas ) 3. klick on that race ship, press CTRL + SHIFT + Z . And, blam, you got yourself Hotseat on turn one. 4. use CTRL + T , to teleport your scout back to your homeworld 5. try not to use cheats an
one thing from me, make the players can't see each other weapon/defense tech unless they are in better than neutral terms...
well, i think we all see where are we getting at, have someone posted it at sticky thread about easy tweaks?
