amandapearl -- I'm sending the rest of my leftover happy and luck vibes your way. Hope they work! LW -- Wenchling? I think that's a first...

Jythier -- good point... Gideon -- thanks for that. It means a lot coming from you, especially since I know you didn't have to write anything at all. Doc -- you're right. I know the good ones are still out there. I'm not that jaded yet. singrdave -- unfortunately, the liars and sickos don

Yes, that's right. I finally got a job. And, even better, it was the job I wanted the most. I've been doing a happy dance for the last hour or so. I am so relieved and so happy right now. I can pay the rent! I can buy real food! I can go shopping (for new books)! And, I actually have to call and cancel two interviews now. I got a call this morning f

Usually, people say, "If you're normal, I'm glad I'm abnormal." But I just tell them that they don't really have a choice, because I called it first anyway. I bet whatever the monkeys wrote started with "It was a dark and stormy night" hehehe

I've been crocheting for years, and my roommate taught me to knit last week. I want to learn how to make my own books and different bindings and such. That looks like fun. I tried to keep plants once, but discovered that I have a black thumb and I thought I should stop torturing the plant world and just buy flowers for my mom since she knows how to keep them alive.

Rainy days and Mondays always get me down -- and the sun only shines on Monday. ******************* If no two people are exactly alike, then there can be only one normal person in the world. And guess what! I call it first! ******************** Imagine that you are in charge of a hotel, with an infinite number of rooms. Then imag

As you may or may not know, I decided to get back on the online dating websites. I've gotten some winks and some messages... but most are from guys too far away, too old or just not my type. However, it was nice and a bit of a confidence booster. But then, this guy winked at me. He was cute, tall, seemed to be a close to my type. So, I winked back. He we

Yes, but JU isn't exactly well known, is it? It's not like xanga or livejournal that most people would check. They'd have to search all the blog sites to find me. Added bonus: they don't know me well enough to realize this blog was by me, even if I sent them every article I've written in the past. I don't know if some of my own friends would realize it, and my brother certainly didn't until I told him. And, since it isn't written under my name, you can't google me and find it. Yo

So true, so true. That's why you have so many gripes about the movie - if you'd been busy with a rousing game of tonsil hockey, you wouldn't have even worried about plot holes or crab-ladies. No kidding! What could have been a perfectly good movie was ruined by my lack of arm candy. *sigh* But then,

Jythier ~ fortunately for me, they have no way of finding my blog. I've kept it secret for a reason. I've also made sure that they cannot view my Facebook or Myspace pages. dynamaso ~ I know, and this is what I expected, but it still frustrates me. Thanks for the luck though. I appreciate it.

Yup. It was my very first drive in movie and, despite what my father said about drive ins, I quite enjoyed myself. Except for the part where I had no one to make out with. It just doesn't seem like I could have really gone to a drive in movie if I didn't make out with anyone.

I had a second interview today and I was told that I would hear about the job by the end of the day. End of the day comes, and they haven't made up their minds yet! I mean, come on! It's a freaking secretary position! It's not like I'm running the department or anything! Okay, got that out of my system. Apparently, I'm still in their top whatever, and I

You are so un-American! You're going straight to Hell... wait... oops. Yeah, I don't know many people who join the military or do missions... most folks choose neither. What does that make them?

Since I moved, I decided to get back on the online dating sites. I had taken myself off of them last February, since I didn't really have time (and I thought I had possibly met someone). Now, I have free time and no one in my life, so I thought I would try again. So far I've gotten winks and messages from men who are too old, too far away or a severe disl

Calypso was my biggest disappointment. Okay, cool! She's a minor goddess trapped in human form. They could do a lot with that... but no. She gets really big, turns into a big pile of crabs, and makes a whirlwind. That's it? I expected more from her. Maybe if I had gone in with a better attitude, I would have liked it better. However, when the first scenes contain a small boy being hung... sorry. I just can't get happy.

I wasn't trying to fish for compliments... but I must say, I like to get online and see that people think I'm hot. You guys made my day. Thanks.

I went to the drive in this past Friday to watch Pirates 3 "At World's End" with some friends. I wasn't expecting much... and not much is exactly what I got. The plot was ludicrous in a "I'm sorry, but I can't suspend this much disbelief" kinda way, and in a non-interesting way. Monster pirates are fine, but the characters deviated from previous behaviors a

Rowan Tree (Sensitivity) -- full of charm, cheerful, gifted without egoism, likes to draw attention, loves life, motion, unrest, and even complications, is both dependent and independent, good taste, artistic, passionate, emotional, good company, does not forgive. Yep... that pretty much describes me. Especially about the part about forgiveness. It takes a lot to piss me off and lose my trust, but once it's gone, it's gone for g

After the groovy advice of my fellow JUsers, I decided to have a little chat with my roommate. I told her that it made me uncomfortable when people commented on my weight... even if they were complementing me. I didn't say anything about her doing, just people in general, but I'm sure she got the hint. Then, I mentioned that I didn't appreciate her commenting on my

Dang, that sucks. But, just think of that as a practice quit, and this time you're going to do it for real. I don't know if it will work for you, but it always made me feel better when I fell of the wagon, so to speak. I didn't have to feel bad about it, and I could just start over again and tell myself, "Practice makes perfect." (I realize I sound like Pollyanna, but if it works, it works.)
