The Presidential debate held in Florida is over. As expected the Debate was dominated by issues relating to National Security and Homeland Defence. Bush tried in vain to deliver knock out punches, but in vain. Kerry obviously squirmed when Bush brought out his support for the Iraq War. Polls are not meant to be Truthful, all they attempt to do is measure and quantify something as ephemeral as public opinion. No poll can be 100% accurate and the margin of error is ofen wide. Yet politicians need an index against which to measure publis perception and hence polls.

The prjected Landslide victory for Bush is unlikely, and the final figure may well be a surprise. In my recent "Blog" I had argued that if there is a low turnout of voters on Polling Day Bush may get another term. If, however there should be a heavy turn out "polling over 60 percent" then there is no chance of George II coming back.. I think Kerry did stumble after the Republican Convention, but after the Debates he may bounce back.
Your comments/analysis is way off the mark. If there is anyone in American History who "stole" an election then person is GeorgeII. Not only did he and his brother"rig" the elections in Florida, George II has imposed a cruel war on the American and Iraqi people.
The reasons you give are farfetched. The French will not send troops to Iraq because they have not major inteerest in that part of the World. The most important reason for voting in Kerry is that he will try to bring the War to a close. Of course, he voted for the War but that was a mistake and he has admitted as much in the Convention.

Such measures are unlikely to be effective because a modern technologically superior army cannot fight a non con ventional war. As for the threat of using unconventional means like random executions, torture and other means they have all been tried in Iraq and are not working.

The real issue is between Kerry and Bush is war record. Bush wriggled out of serving in Vietnam by pulling strings at the Pentagon and got himself a safe and it seems quite unrewarding posting in the Home Guards.
