If you can look at the scientific evidence and honestly say that humans are not having an impact on the global environment then you are just naïve. By making a huge issue about the thing is about the only way any true work for the cause will get done.
Our planet is not in any danger, if anything it's going thru it's normal cycles and the only reason our civilization would be in danger is because it's part of that cycle
You do realize that the planetar

We can't really say why Obama wouldn't help his brother in that situation, but it is obviously a personal monetary and family situation. McCain has multiple homes and puts them to use how he sees fit, and I find nothing wrong with that. I was merely stating that they have completely different situations which really have no bearing on the issues the rest of the nation faces; and yet they are arguing and picking at each other about it. It's tactics like this with both sides o

While I'm going to be away from my computer for a trip I need to take this weekend, one thing I'm going to miss is the trusty ObjectDock program from Stardock. I've been using it for so long now it's just become a part of the way I compute. If you were ever looking to change up your computer's appearance with a little improvement in functionality, try this program out! There is a free version out there for you to try or a purchased version with even more features to enhance

Obama will not hide the fact that he has a larger than average home. This is entirely different than having seven separate homes. I understand vacation homes and other places around the country, especially if you have a lot of money. Both candidates have exactly that, money. However, I think the issue people should be looking at is that there is a situation that needs to be dealt with for the benefit of millions of Americans. The housing issue is a huge concern f

I've been so impressed these last few days with Usain Bolt's performances at these Olympics, finally I just had to write something about it. I've been focused in on the Track & Field competetions since they began and Jamaica has really been stepping it up. As a former athlete and coach of the sport, I see this young man's accomplishments as more stunning than some other casual spectators might, but allow me to put this into perspective more. This man, or should I say k

Also, higher taxes can help reduce the national debt and pave the way for new, innovative programs to produce jobs in America. People don't see the ends. I guess it's a nice world having a gigantic war budget while cutting taxes left and right, isn't it?

Obama is a fine candidate, and I'm sure he can do wonders for this country where President Bush and his administration has failed oh-so much.
The Dems are all about greed, race, sex
Interesting, though one could say the same thing about Republicans. That's quite a vague statement.
It will be tough to elect a guy who shares the same name as the dictator of a regime we just toppled.
You are ridiculous, Anthony. I am still just highly disappointed that people think in such ways (or have such lack of reasonable judgment).
The latest of which is to dismiss the energy crises as just "under inflated tires and a tune up".
Also, this was not a dismissal, only a recommendation. Inflated tires get better gas mileage. Sure inflating a
Horse Hockey! I have yet to see human fecal material like Pelosi, Reid, Clinton, Craig, Crapo, McCain, Jack "America's Only Ex-Marine" Murtha or Feingold (just to name a few) serve this nation (while in the House or Senate), even by accident.
True. But c'mon, they all must do some good here and there ;). We should hold all of our politicians responsible more for the work (or lack of) they contribute to hopefully make the nation a better place. Keep in mind this elec

My tiny response: You put that statement in a paragraph emphasizing characteristics and actions you referred to as negative. I'm glad you looked up what the church he belongs to stands for. If your comment wasn't meant to be taken in a negative way like that I apologize, that is just how it came off to me. Typed responses are sometimes difficult to pull away author context/passion from. Either way, you're assuming that a religious institutions methods define strictly who their members have

As far as the racism comment goes, why bring up the fact that he's proud of his ancestry/cultural background as a negative? Also, I'm glad to see you know how the scheduling of politically motivated trips works. Could you please find me a copy of that
He would see a man who owes his allegiances to Africa
Again, just unbelievable. Will it never end with the racism? I won't bother with spewing on about McCain this, McCain that, because it is futile. I was simply just trying to mention that people do have the ability to think for themselves and support Obama. I don't know if he did simply go to the site and not question a single issue, but wouldn't we agree that hearing it from the source of the plan is better than

Paladin, Obama is talking about improving the volunteer coalitions and government funded reaction groups. He knows these divisions exist and even wants to create new ones! Civilian "national security" meaning problems within our borders, not civilians fighting terrorists. You were in the armed services and that is because you are patriotic and believe in this country and its freedom. Casualties of war will always occur, and you're right to say that everyone involved understood the ris
Once again, you're comments prove that you would rather be spoon fed by the incompetent press than learn a few things for yourself.
I'm sure Mooseplow has been to the Obama website and read the collective plans himself. Just because someone supports a cause for the democratic party doesn't mean they were taught such a way by the media. Perhaps you should go to the sites of both candidates as an informed American and understand what the two camps are both saying at any given
not even a whisper because to challenge him is racist.
That is just ridiculous. Sounds like something to hide behind. Maybe it proves that people aren't as worried about this situation. I'd wager that the idea of forming such a force is a low priority of issues troubling this nation, and the people recognize it as such.

I never said that corporations were taxed on their profits, but if you want to put in words in my mouth, more power to you. I merely stated that removing larger tax cuts for an extremely profitable organization would produce more money for [hopefully] improvements in within the system.

Well, I happen to be quite bored this evening. Much infact to be watching a movie on the internet (although it is the classic Groundhog Day w/ Bill Murray). I would recommend this movie to anyone who loves comedy and unique story. It's been a favorite for me for years now. Anyway, more to the point of my post this evening (ha, it's actually around 1:30 AM)... I'm currently in the process of packing everything in my apartment up to be moved to a new one. G

Just browse the libraries, I've never found a problem with the setup. There is a search feature where you can put in terms along the lines of what you're looking for or an artist's name. It works. ;)
