Man, I can't begin to imagine what kind of pain you must have been in! Really am sorry about it. I realize you were'nt hinting about the money thing, I just reallly felt touched by your situation and wanted to help. The hardest part for me with not driving, for a living, was that I made the mistake of my job becoming my identity. That's who I was, Katy the busdriver, so I was messed up, with feeling like I was worthless, (it almost de
hi MM, we've never met, I just clicked on this article of yours and am sorry to read you were in some kind of accident, have been reading your posts, and know how hard it is to not be able to get back out there in working world...is there some time frame for you being healed enough to get to work again? I kinda know what you're going through, in regards to not being able to work that is. I had my first heart attack when I was 42,
Gee....I think most people smile at others out of human friendliness, a smile from a stranger can be another way of greeting someone. If someone is looking at me and thinking I got what I deserved, chances are they're sneering at me! But then....how would I know just what they're thinking?? just because they're sneering??? maybe they have a mosquito up their nose! Seriously though, where I come from, people ARE nice, and usually do say h
Danny: I tried to hi-lite your response to # 8, but couldn't make it work.... My older sister had told me onetime to "write my stories", and she kept nagging and nagging.... I finally got disgusted and just plain said "what for? who cares? who'll read them, I doubt if even my son that loves me dearly will bother" To which she wisely replied, " you don't get to choose who reads them or know who reads them" and so it goes....you

Zoomba: Being old enuf to be your grandparent there's probably a boatload full of advice I'd hand down to myself ! How much time you got?? The first and most important thing I'd try to impress on me is: " I know how much you love dancing, skating, riding horses, tennis, and swimming, so please re-consider before you light up that cigarette, in almost 25 years you'll have
One of my all-time faves is Bonanaz. Also Cheers brings back memories of working days and Friday nights out after getting paid.. Mash theme brings tears as my daughter was a baby then and hearing the theme starts the memories flowing. The theme from taxi of course really fits my family as we were in the taxi business in the 80's. Btw, if you type Bonanza into Goggle, there's
Oh my goodness! This is the first year I've watched American Idol, was wishing I hadn't missed the first three and now realize oh welll.... Can't stand Ryan Seacrest at all!! Don't want to watch the melodramatic mean spirited Wednesday night bruha! How mean is that what they do that night? And you soooooo hit the nail on the head with describing the judges!!! Amen! I too agree with Simon more than anyone else, he hears a flat note and ca
"Men Are Minority in Grade Schools"--headline, Daily Press (Hampton, Va.), April 24 Maybe because most of the people in grade school are CHILDREN??????? This one got me laffing so hard I had to wipe my eyes! "Exploding Toads Baffle Experts"--headline, Agence France-Presse, April 24 They blew up! What is so baffling about that? , they're trying too hard to fi
The best lesson I took out of this presentation is that I need to be real and genuine. I love to be myself because I am a really happy person and love to smile and I think that makes other people happy too. You're darn tooting right on this! People can sense a phony a mile away, and being genuine brings out the best in others. Being happy truly does infuse others' with your mood and is a gift to them from you. Way to go.
you'll be missed by many, it'll be good when you we see you back, eager and unable to wait until you can write more stuff. You'll know when it's time, everything in it's own time, right? Be good to yourself now.
, giggles on a Sunday, my oh my, what on earth will happen next???
Nicky: Just the way you so wonderfully describe all of her assets tells me you love her deeply and she'll know and feel that too. Your love for her will guide you in getting through this. As smart as she is it's probably frustrating to her to have a weaker area, and hence her calling herself stupid. My son felt really bad when a socialworker one day referred to him as disabled, and I just told him that all of us, everyone has a
Oh she's gorgeous! What a lovely cat

Hello I'm just drifting around, reading blogs I haven't read before and discovered this. How interesting! Especially the part about the address book, I so relate to that, happened to me once too. It's such a bittersweet, kind of melancholoy thing huh? I also enjoyed your post about not posting in the forums, and it's a lesson for me.... Keep on posting! They're enjo

foreverserenity: I've "always, positively, no holds barred" wanted to know what my future holds, come what may, let the chips fall where they may.... and of course.....on my head and heart they have always landed..... Knowing what I know now, I think it's better ( for me) to have learned and experienced what I have with no prior knowledge! I think what I learned, found out, and went through would have been disasterous for me had I known befor
Hi Danny 1. Many works of fiction are based on/ or are true events.... 2.One warm June afternoon I was telling my son that it was highly unlikely that "a man would just come knocking on my door, looking to take me out, like a knight in shining armor" and a second later a guy did just that, an aquaintance he was and asking if I wanted to go out for lunch!! True story 3.
Awesome post Dharma! so right on with a growing, maturing, insightful attitude! Yea!!
