wow guys, great designs. half of the fun of this game is designing ships. I really thought I was going to find it boring, cumbersome, and difficult, but I really enjoy it. my ship designs have mostly been random experiments so far but I've chugged out a few cool prototypes. I really think the ships that draw inspiration from nature look really cool, I'll have to experiment with that some. I also want to try that B-Wing design, real cool I've been trying to figure out the enterprise co

wow that program works sexcellently! looks really nice and no performance drop! I hope the devs take a look at this program for emulating textures! btw, which features should I be emulating for good textures and maybe lighting too? right now I'm emulating everything and I don't really know that they're doing...
ok, I read through the manual and answered most of my questions, however one still evades me... so when I have a colony that has a bonus, say 100% to farming, does that increase all of my farming production from that planet, or does it increase my farming on that one tile if I place a farm on it? which brings me to my next question...do I need to place a farm on the bonus tile or does it not matter? also, is there a shortcut on the keyboard to rotate the camera? I can
what does 3D-Analyze do and how can it help me?
doh! oh well, at least I know why I can't see the textures now...looking forward to the new video options, keep up the good work, this is a great game and a great community! thanks for the quick reply!
Here's my situation...I'm using the Terrans, and my home planet, Earth, is insanely unhappy. I have a 30% approval rating, 22.5 billion people, 1 Xeno Farming that has a 300% bonus, 3 multimedia centers, 1 Advanced Market, 1 Starport, 1 Factory on 100% manufacturing tile, 1 Factor on 300% manufacturing tile, 1 Research Center, 1 Restaurant of Eternity on 100% influence tile (every tile is used) When I hover my mouse over the word Influence on the planet screen, I get the following
I don't know if this is a known issue or if it has been fixed, but I can't see detailed textures on my ships. maybe I missed an option to enable/disable it, I dunno. I'm using the terran alliance, and the ships are just plain blue and white, no extra detail like windows and stuff on the hull I also can't use my middle mouse button to rotate the camera, is there another way to rotate? Windows XP 2nd Edition Geforce4 440 Go 64MB 78.01 drivers Toshiba Satellite 5105-S702 768MB RAM
after hours of testing, I was able to update drivers to 78.01. UI now works fine and I've played a couple games thus far. however, I don't have detailed textures on my ships. terran ships are plain blue and white, no extra detail. maybe there is an option I missed to enable this?
screens have been sent, thanks

anyone have any tips?
"offset" is the best way I can describe it. It appears like the UI is in Widescreen and the Text is in the default position despite the game being set in Fullscreen. basically, the UI graphics and text don't match up, and are greatly misaligned. The game loaded up in 1024x768 and I somehow (by luck) moved it up to 1600x1200, which is my monitor's native size and it looked the same. I also tried running it in windowed mode by adding the w to the shortcut, but it doesn't appear to load in windowed
