I really hope you're right.

I don't think customization is hurt by a bad OS. Means more to customize. If Windows makes customization impossible- then Stardock would have problems, but I suspect at that point the industry would be looking for a Windows alternative. I suspect after the OS/2 days, the last thing Brad wants to deal with is a situation where folks are changing OS's or an OS rapidly loses market share.
Brad doesn't need to acquire other game franchises. He's too busy founding whole new game studios every time he gets bored.
Brad and Notch need to get into a war and try to one-up each combo in starting up strategy game franchises/studios.
Quoting Alstein, reply 3 Interested in this. Hope it shares some similarities to Kohan, though it doesn't sound like it. Kohan with realistic sized armies....
This right here should be a future Stardock game- or Stardock funded startup. I'm sure the Kohan Devs are avaliable/looking for work at this time.
That's one thing I want Stardock to add to their games in future- an AI that will adapt to what the player's tendencies are from game to game.
Maybe change it to a free tech?
My point isnt to single out Australia but rather to demonstrate that governments, even supposedly civilized governments should not be trusted by an unarmed citizenry. On the 2nd Amendment, I interpret it as citizenry have the right to arms, but the gov
For Euroes/Aussies, it's almost always better to buy direct from Stardock- and Stardock makes the same if not more money out of it that way as well (no cut goes to Steam).
Congrats. Too bad the state politicians allow the local broadband monopolies here to not give a damn about improving service- they can raise rates and keep the same crappy service.
Very interesting! Yea, too many sites try to force you to have mix caps and have numbers. It's very frustrating.
Healthcare.gov is bad as they force it on your username as well. If you want really bad passwords, try the military. 1 One uppercase, one lowercase, one number that has to be in the middle, and one punctuation mark. Folks got so fed up, and the t
One thing you could do is when you're ready to do a new Elemental 2 in about 5 years time, you could cut the price of LH to super-cheap, and let folks see for themselves, maybe even free. (have to pay for DLC)
What is going to happen with the old engines- are they going to be mothballed, or would you consider licensing them out should someone wish to use them/making them some sort of freeware?
Masters of Elemental sounds like the best idea so far.
By the way, Stardock must be planning an expansion or follow up since this subject is hurting the Frog's head so much. Good news indeed. Might be one of the other great announcements coming from Stardock this month. They just can't decide what to call the game when they announce.
It's possible, but wouldn't that cannabalize another upcoming project- unless that on
I'd worry about this problem when/if you ever decide to make a sequel. At this point you've done all you can do. If you go with the FE name, Ceresa becomes the mascot of the game, just like the Drengin are kinda Stardock's mascot for GalCiv (and in general). Also how do you know the name is holding it back? I'm not sure it is. It's a long name, but it's no Bravely Default Flying Fairy or even Kohan (what's a Koha
I'd love to see Kohan rescued, but don't know who if anyone owns the rights now.
I just don't think TC should anywhere in the scope of the game, and I don't want it being something the human can exploit against the AI like it could in FE. Being able to give orders before a battle is fine, but once is starts, I don't want to be able to influence it. Elemental series made me skittish about Stardock implementing TC in GC3.

It's just that I am no longer ready to throw money at them without having seen SOME parts of the gameplay...Blind faith is a fragile thing.
If you want to give it a 2nd chance- this weekend it's 75% off on Steam. DLC is 50% off, but I don't think it's vi
Overextension leading to revolt demands/revolt risk makes sense in a space game, much more than it did in Elemental. That said, invaded planets that are occupied by troops should be immune to this, but planets ruled by an iron fist/military rule should suck for research/growth/development.
Rather than endless appeals to authority, you could, for example, argue what constitutional power gave the federal government of the early 19th century the power to purchase territory. That might be an interesting debate. Instead, your role on these threads seems to be to try to shut down discussion by appealing to what you consider an authority and trying to marginalize those who disagree with you through name-calling. There does need to be some sort of penalty for stacking multiple fleets on the same hex. That was a nuisance in GC2, the AI would spam hordes of cheap useless fighters often 3-4 to a tile.
Thank god. It's irritating to see that every time anything about Stardock is brought up, someone calls Brad names. Not that this will ever satisfy some people, I know, I work in a mental hospital...with some people no amount of evidence trumps delusion.
Some folks will never let it go. Just have to deal with it at this point.
Given that the Elite is all digital content, there is no need to limit it.
The latest version, or if you can, check your serial/Impulse number or receipt date and try to talk to Stardock and see if you're eligible for downloads of the sequel/expansion, which is much much better.
