Brad, I agree with what you say. If I had been giving the chance to somehow have my skins published, and make money in return, then I'd be willing to obviously have the publisher get a cut of the profits.(After all, they're doing all the distribution work) My response was in that, as I read Joe's post, someone (Any Mr/Mrs Averge) could pay you to create a suite, then they would go sell it, and make money themselves.(not publish it, but resell it), and they make a quick buck, probably mo

If I was offered money to create a suite, I'd snap at the chance, although the buyer wouldn't be entitled to sell the suite unless a prior agreement had been legally arranged. And I pretty much doubt any skinner would agree to that, considering that they could just as easily sell the skins themselves, make way more than 300 bucks and cut out the middle-man who is getting all your profits, and doing absoloutely no work.

I don't believe the moon landings were fake. I mean thousands of people were there to witness the first shuttle launch, and if the landings were fake, where did that shuttle go then?

Sounds like you have Weblinds installed, which only skins IE. Btw, you wouldn't happen to be THE Cheryl Baker of 1980's Pop darlings 'Buck's Fizz' would you? (you never know)

Depends what program you want it for. And I'm assuming you haven't actually taken time to look around here for one, because this site is packed with them. Best way to emulate XP on Win2K, is to use Windowblinds with any of the default XP skins, along with ObjectBar (There's very few ObjectBar skins that AREN'T XP knock-offs, so you won't have any trouble there...). And you could also throw IconPackager in too, for good measure, because there's yet again, more XP knock-offs available

I'm not that clued up on how it all works, but I think one of the downfalls of banner-ads and pop-ups are that many sites advertise products that their userbase wouldn't even look twice at. It would be like WC, or Devart or whatever, holding ads for washing machine companies and whatnot. Devarts current system of adverts (Wether profitable or not) is more appealing, as they advertise relevant products, namely graphics progs, and art related stuff. Personally, I'd be more likely

As someone who has skins available here, I personally don't have a problem with the subscription charges. If each skin was being indivdually sold, that would be wrong, but the fact is that people are only being charged to expand the amount they can download each month. And since the cash goes back into the site, it doesn't seem too big a deal. Not long after this site first started, I hated the direction I believed it was taking.I even said so in a thread related to it. I deleted my

There's a lot of love in this room, and not the nekkid kind. Can you feel it? Oh, and just to stay with the topic of the thread, I personally find ratings useless. I don't care wether people like my work or not. I don't even know how many D/L's I get (On any skins sites in general), simply because it doesn't matter to me. I make skins because I enjoy graphics work, and I uplo

I reckon it's mainly becuase WC would never tolerate some of the shit that goes on over at DA. If you go through the message forums, it's pretty screwed up what some of those kids are posting. It's somewhat disheartening, and for me personally, it's taken away from DA a little, but on the other hand, to Jark's credit, I guess he gives the kids there a little bit of space to vent off. *This advert brought to you by Beefweiser* <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/even

My real life is dull. I currently live in a town where you've more chance of contracting the plague than getting a job, and thus I'm unemployed. When I'm not skinning I generally spend most of my time studying martial arts, reading books on both it and Chinese philosophy and watching old martial art films. I'm also a gearhead and have an obsession with WRC (World rally Championships) and MotoGP. At weekends I stand in as a stunt double for Elton John, and when I grow up I want t

I'm in total agreement. I remember when the first Pixtudio suite was released to buy, I saw people who were whining and moaning about how suites should be free. Quite frankly that pissed me off. The fact that most people can get good skins for free is a privilege, because skinners don't exactly throw together a skin, or indeed a whole suite, in a matter of 20 mins. An example is someone hiring a graphic designer. They don't expect the designer to work for free, so why should ski

There's no noticable difference for me, although I actually put that down to my crap ISP, who probably employ monkey's to push buttons, but the new site skins, and features are quite bloody lovely indeed.
