Battlefield 2 Boosters Announced

Two New Packs Coming Soon

Electronic Arts has added two new Battlefield 2 Booster Packs to the EA Downloader service, and they will be available starting February 8th. The initial pack will be Battlefield 2: Euro Force which will add the European army into the mix, including seven weapons and four vehicles which can be played on the three new maps.

Battlefield 2: Armored Fury will follow-up with three maps set in rural America and two new vehicle classes. The Attack Jets will feature rocket pods and cluster bombs, and Scout Choppers will help find the enemy's foxholes. Both packs will be available for $9.99.

I've really got into BF2 lately (hence so little feedback from me on the Betas) and its fun to
work on different aspects of the game in order to achieve the different badges and awards. I hope that that aspect of the Metaverse will be expanded in GC2 too. Some people are complaining about being charged for these expansion packs/booster packs though but what do they expect? Free added content for ever? Stardock is very generous in that regard and in its after sales support but if companies are going to invest time and effort in extra features, its only fair to pay up if you want to access it.

Just my thoughts anyway.

p.s. You can usually find me of an evening blasting away on the [OSF]War in the Woods ranked server

Valve provides (so far) free content to HL2, CS:S and DoD:S. But that content isn't as in-depth as the 'booster packs.

I think people just hate the idea of getting leaked for $10 every pack when they could just release as set of the boosters as an expansion pack. Highly doubt they would complain then.
