Save Game non-functional

I am playing in windows XP on a pentium 4 1.8 gig with 512 meg of ram. The game randomly drops out to the desktop, the only time I can replicate is whenever I try to use the show sector control button on the upper right map. The really annoying part of this is that whenever it happens I have to start from the last autosave. If I try to save the game it accesses the drive briefly and takes me back to the game, however there is no save game generated. I have gone into the files and looked the only files there are the autosave.

Sorry, forgot to add I am playing in the non-windows version. The windows version flashes than drops back to the desktop when I try to start it.

If you want to try the windowed version, make sure you use 16-bit colordepth. Otherwise it doesnt work.

I think that this was brought up in another thread, with the sector control issue...if he doesn't have it fixed already, Brad is working on it.
