And I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know when.
I'm stuck at Folsom Prison and time keeps draggin' on.
But that train keeps rollin' on down to San Antone.”
That song’s been stuck in my head for a few days...you know why? Well, it’s because I am very much looking forward to seeing “Walk the Line”, the movie based on Johnny Cash.
The reason for my eagerness doesn’t really have to do with being a big fan of Johnny. It mostly has to do with my b/f being a fan. He has Johnny’s albums, knows his music by heart, and enjoys seeing concert footage of the Man in Black.
Just a little while ago, he was singing along to the song, “Jackson”, which was being played on television. He’s been talking for months about how he wants to go see it, and now that it’s out, I’m excited for him. Actually, this guy is both a Huge music And movie fan, so this makes pretty much a perfect movie for him.
June and Johnny’s love story is a draw as well, and the fact that Joaquin Phoenix (whom I think is a pretty cool actor) will be playing him makes it all the more interesting to see.
Can’t wait to hear that very simple, yet famous introduction:
“Hello, My Name is Johnny Cash.”
