Where to download CivGal2?

So it look like to me i have to pay for that beta verison, so i dont like the idea paying 44+ for that becuz i been thru alot of simciv programs and hardly any of them i like. MoO3 wasnt too bad but still need alot of work to be done.

So is it true have to pay for it before download Beta?

You need to pre-order the game. If you pre-order, you will be able to test/play GalCiv2 starting with its Beta. This is a real beta, meaning the game will sometimes crash, the game balance isn't polished/fine tuned, etc etc etc. If you don't want to test the beta, you can pre-order the game and not participate in the beta. Or, you can wait until the game is released.

If you'd like to participate in the beta, then you need to pre-order the game.

Alternatively, you can subscribe to Star Dock's Total Gaming Network (TGN), which will let you have access to all the games they offer, and allow you to participate in GalCiv2's beta as well. TGN has a lot of fun and interesting games!

Too bad im not that stupid but i wait til demo is out before buying it, i may not be happy with it and people are tired of wasting money on it that are not happy with it at all.

People are unhappy with it? Only people that think a beta is a program ready to be sold to the public. GC2 isn't ready for that yet. If that is what you want, you are better off playing a different game, and waiting until GC2 goes gold.

Got Civ4 played it for 2 nights,back to playing Galciv2 beta which is better game even in beta.

TotalGaming.net does not give you access to the Beta, nor does it give you access to all the games on the network (that changed this summer).

You must pre-order GalCiv II through TotalGaming.net just as you would had you bought it standalone. The only difference is that you're able to get GalCiv II had a reduced cost due to our token system.

i knew that, least make things better and correct the mistake that what this forum is for and teamplay. But paying up front is just not right unless you got money to burn. I never heard of this site and i dont trust any site due to spywares and scam. That why i never pay up front like this!

Well if this was better than Civ IV then it is too bad it came too late. Civ IV is great if you get the mod that reduce time line and making researching longer as well buildings (some). I wasnt so happy with it until i got this mod and it really shine.

Hmm im saving my money for TES:IV and prob wont get this around 6 months unless it is much cheaper than 45. I didnt like first GalCiv much unless they pulled out alot of goodies in demo version. Let see what happen in the next six months.

Well, the people on this forum can vouch for Stardock and the awesomeness of the original GalCiv, but you have no reason to trust us more than them, so that doesn't really count. I agree with you about not paying for a game without playing the free demo in most cases, though. I just made an exception this one time. Hope to see you back here in March!

Plus, it'd be kind of dumb to show a beta version to potential customers.

StarDock is a very stable, reputable company. They've been in business for more then 10 years, making windows applications and games. You can check out their catalog over at https://www.stardock.com/ . You can go check out what people say by doing some Googling on their products, or checking out the fan forums (rather then a company/product forum like this one).


Star Dock likes to include their customers in their development. It results in a better tested product, with a more polished/usable interface.
