And then what about those who have already started play testing the betas?
I feel though you have actually contributed to the games developments will miss out on the "extras" mentioned about. The physical items above (desktop, tech-tree) I could do without, but what about the extra ship components?
Hmmm...maybe I'm simply sour over pre-ordering Civ4 and finding out first that my disk labels were swopped, I get a French tech-tree and the game simply won't work (ATI graphics card). I bought the pre-order in part due to the pre-order "extras" which ended up being worthless.
Also the extra $50 for shipping left a bitter taste in my mouth.
So I do fully appreciate Stardock's manner of distributing games and have used many of there programs, but now why to those who use old methods of attaining games score in comparison to those who download the games digitally?

Seeing as how the final retail price has been changed to $39.95, shouldn't the price on the pre-order page ($44.95) be updated to compensate for that?

Nuts, I accidentally posted this same question somewhere else on this forum. For those of us who have pre-ordered and are beta testing, will we be able to make the choice of being able to download the final version and/or recieve a hard copy?
