Other races can't seem to avoid deficit spending.

I have a game on a gigantic galaxy where ALL of the major AND minor races are unable to get thier treasury under control. They have spent many turns now bouncing around -$500 BC, sometimes dropping as low as -$3000 BC. I am saving a copy of the save file just in case someone at SD would like to look at it.

Hmmm...well, at least it's not turning to the huge negative number anymore. I'd be interested in taking a look at the saved game, to see what exactly is dragging their economies down, as that might help me figure out what starts their downward spiral.

There may be a factor involved here. The light blues are at war with all the other races except me in the saved game I sent you. After further play the light blue race surrendered to me and the other races look like they are trying to balance their treasury, but their attempts seem to be poor.

Well, I didn't find any bad values, but at least some of the AI players were doing some major deficit spending. I'll ask Brad about it, since he's more conversant with the economy code.
