What happen with power balancement in this new version?

First, please excuse my english.
I have played lot of games with the previous version, I not win all of them, but find balancement of power very better.
I have downloaded new version and played couple of games.
I have use a tiny map and immediatly found computer players ( All set with average ). I have notified this in around 4 turns :
All computer move 4 with Colony ship, me move 2
Economy of computer is around 3 times superior to me
Technologies discovery computer varie between 4-8, me 0
I really don't know what strategy to use now with average computer, I can not imagine with computer a genius.
I beleive that balancement of power in average computer should be around the same than the humain player a crippling level.
