Help - Minimap control buttons and zoom not working

Running Win ME Gforce2 card. Tried all map sizes - no minimap zoom buttons appear at all.

I do get a rather strange black square with a tiny grey splodge in it where you would expect to see sector 1,1, in all my maps with this beta - not in last beta.

Also after each turn the main map is relocating to sector 1,1, (where this strange black object is on the minimap). Additionally, the bottom right window (normally used to see stuff in other screen views) has a tiny square graphic in it which looks like a tiny map of the Galaxy - it seems to have tiny stars in it.

If this is like the problem Mark Weber is having, the relevant files may not have been updated correctly. You may need to un-install and re-install.

I also have Win ME and a Gforce2 card and the minimap zoom is working for me, but I also had to uninstall and re-install to get it and a number of other things to work reasonably.

Unisnstalled/reinstalled and the zoom is working - thanks

However are the planets supposed to rotate? mine dont.

Aditionally when I attempt to start a new game I get a catastrophic system lockup that requires me to do a hard reeboot. Thsi happens regularly. :(
