We now have access to the game and will be performing tests this week.
mordacity: The reported problem here is with playing on the PRIMARY. If you are having a problem on the secondary, then it may be the game is rejecting input that is not coming from the local mouse / keyboard.
Previously ActiveWords had a similar problem with rejecting input which they have now resolved based on input from ourselves.
Any updates on your progress on these games?
I have been jumping into City of Heros for about 15 min randomly through the end of last week on this one. We are also planning on making more tests for EQ. A of yet I have not replicated this problem. I have read this post along but I would like to get in a dialog with someone on this to help me test it. Perhaps a live one. Either contact me through our IRC channels or send me a emai at [email protected] please. I would like to get this resolved for you as soon as possible.
Cheers,
Seabass
I sent you an e-mail to your e-mail that you have in your post. Please let me know if there is anything else..
Thanks
You maybe should look at synergy... it works great with that program if you dont count their problem with mouse sensivity on 2nd comp in games (its like mouse on LSD)
Please look into this. I would gladly help with testing if you have a debug version that making logs i can send to ya.
Ciao
I'm having the identical problem EQ1, and it's pretty much preventing me from using the features of multiplicity when I'm playing. I'd love to be able to get use out of the product I bought, so...
Can you please update us with the status of your research into this matter? Did you manage to reproduce the problem? Any ETA on a fix?
I can help with replication of the issue in EQ1 if you're still unable. For me it generally happens when I'm working on a secondary for more than a minute, then the input poofies on the primary.
or is there a way to get refund due to your product not delivers what you state...
I posted on this elsewhere but I will update here as well.
We know about the issue with CoH and EQ1 and 2. I was able, through help of our customers, to get some accounts and replicate the problem. I have spoken with the developers on the matter. What is being considered is that the anti cheat features of the games are interrupting Multiplicity. The reason that this is taking so long is two fold.
1) We are still working on how to correct this.
2) We don't want our software exploiting anti cheat software of another company. It isn't neighborly.
Rest assured that I bug our developers on this and the matter is in no way closed. If you wish to get refunds you will have to ask our good staff at [email protected]. However please know that this issue will get resolved one way or another. Till then feel free to bug me with any other questions you might have.
Also the second I know something or an update is made available I will post back here with all the info.
Cheers,

How 'bout giving us a progress report seeing as you've had 6 months or so to work on a solution?
I have eq2 running in windowed mode on each machine and have not had a problem.
However, CoH/CoV and Lineage 2 is another issue.
On the Primary (no game running on secondary) both games start out fine and load the log in screen. However, the momment I click or type CoH hangs the whole system and Lineage 2 gives me a blue screen (something about an IRQ). The games as a default load in full screen mode.
In order for them to run correctly, I have to turn off both multiplicity parts (multiplicity.exe and multiplsrv32.exe)
I've also tried running Vanguard and WoW both work fine in windowed mode. I haven't tried them in full screen.
I have a ms keyboard and logitech mouse but I haven't installed any specific drivers for them. It's what ever default driver the OS loads.
Yep. it's like he said. Multiplicity is much nicer set up but MaxiVista does work. I tried it with CoH/CoV and Lineage 2 both of which would crash my OS (WinXP) with Multiplicity but they work great with MaxiVista. MaxiVista also says it's Windows Vista compatible in some specific graphics mode but I haven't tested that out since i don't have Windows Vista yet.
GL.
If you receive a IRQ BSOD then you have a hardware / driver issue.
Multiplicity does not install any drivers.
Is there any movement on this issue? Its been known since 2005. Would be nice to get it fixed so I can use Multiplicity for the reason I purchased it.
I think it has to do with maybe the length of time you spend on the secondary machine...? It never fails if I quickly go over to machine 2 and click something and then go back. But, if I spend any sort of extended period of time on the secondary monitor, it seems to occur. It doesn't appear to have anything to do with how long City of Heroes has been running. In fact, In the time it took me to read this thread and type this response, I was able to duplicate the issue. (CoH is running on my primary PC at this very moment)
The thing to keep in mind is that ONLY the game itself stops responding. I can minimize the game and the keyboard and mouse work fine on the desktop and in other programs. The game itself runs fine, too, except that you can't interact with it. After the issue occurs, if you exit Multiplicity, it doesn't fix the issue, by the way.
Since this is a commercial product that I paid for, I'd really like to see some action taken to resolve this issue. It's not like I'm running unsupported freeware like Synergy or something. (Which by the way works fine, although it doesn't switch well when a game is running fullscreen. Which reminds me, I wonder if this issue will happen if I play CoH in a window... Hmmmm.... I'll let you know.)
