Revenge of the Sith

My Take

Sorry Zoomba, This movie sucked big time!  WHy?  Ok, everyone not seeing it get the hell out of here!

Go

Scat!

Shoo!

Why?  Because the conversion of Anakin was so lame!  It really sucked!  As a Jedi (almost master), he knew the evil of the Sith lord, and yet he just said "duh!  oh, okay!".

That blew it for me.  The special effects were great, the story was sad, and his conversion jsut sucked monkey balls!

At least now we know who Leia's parents were, and that was the best part of the movie.

Both of you present very thorough, well thought out and intelligent arguments. Thank you for wasting my time.

didn't see the movie... probably won't... do I still have to go?

Only those who are real fans need see it.  I would wait for the DVD otherwise.  It is worth seeing, just not wasting your time fighting with the real fanatics.

You said you didn't like Anakin's conversion. Anakin was afraid his wife would die and h wanted the power to stop it so h turned to the darkside.

One thing the movie didn't do a good job of portraying was that Palpatine has just been screwing with Anakin's head for years. You get a sense of it if you watch Ep2 then The Clone Wars animated series and then Ep3. The dreams of his wife were the straw that broke the camel's back. You have to remember how good Palpatine is at manipulating people, twisting their minds and convincing them of odd things. Remember the scene between Palpatine and Windu? He was going to just arrest him one second, and then suddenly without reason was ready to kill him... using the exact same words Palpatine spoke to Anakin telling him to kill Duku (He's to dangerous to be left alive).

The biggest problem with Ep3 was that it required you to see the Clone Wars series and be more into the backstory than it should have. It relied too much on support story and info. The film needed probably an extra hour of story explaining a lot of what happened.

If that is the case, Screw it! Sorry, but I know the mind games.  That was still very lame to me.

Ok, we can differ.  I was just dissappointed
