i guess you hadda see the four or five 'electric kitchen appliances' posts from some spammer for this to make any sense. it is worth noting, however, the first vibrator was huge and steam-powered.

I saw, but did not read it.  So I understand where the idea came from.  But since I dont drink coffee, I could not spit it out like Tex did.  As for that last tidbit of information, I could have done without that bit of information!:-O

Damn modern textbooks.


And of course there was that veiled reference made by Chaucer to a miller's wife and a water wheel. But owing to the rarity of available materials that model was never practical.
