Desktopx 3.0 and desktopx 2.4

Desktopx systray problem in version 3.0

image (a) is transparent png image used for sysTray in desktopx version 2.4
and the second image (b) is the same image i used for desktopx version 3.0...look at the difference
if anybody knows why this is happening plz let me know...desktopx 3.0 suppose to be better then 2.4..then why it's showing the faded icons in systray.but in 2.4 it was just perfect.bitmap images works fine..but why not png? i know 3.0 got lot of other cool features...what about basic ones.
and one more question when i try to make taskbar tiled with "transparent png" it does not work..it shows blank space where the icons suppose to be..again works fine with bitmap.why why? any suggestions...any help will be appreciated ...thanks

ch waqar
and this systray when i reinstalled the desktopx2.4: works fine ..i wonder why? and one more thing why it can't recognize some icons..look at the ugly empty squre in it. Download the sample object from here and try to run the same object on different versins of DX 3.0 & 2.4..you will get different results, Link

The second looks like a red X. That can't be right.

Looks to me that the Systray icons are under the png. That might be what's happening to other people's SysTray icons, and since most skins use bmp files, they can't be seen.

I don't thinks it's a DX3 problem, per say...but, a problem with the SD Systray application.

Can you let us see the object?  Looks like a Z-order issue to me.

no frogboy...this is not Z-order issue....i uninstalled 3.0 and reinstalled 2.4...it's working fine ..no faded icons in systray..no matter it's png or bitmap....and again rolled back to 3.0 and here we have systray with faded icons.doesnot make any sense.it is not Z-order issue...thats for sure.and sometimes "ver3.0 systray" shows lot of similar icons.but not all the time.
what do you mean by the "Can you let us see the object? this is it what you are seeing. the simple transparent png image i am using for systray"
you try it for yourself both versions of desktopx regarding this issue.i think we still can not have complete transparent taskbar even in desktopx.

And the opacity (transparency) setting isn't what's causing it?

Ok...so I tried it...and it works.

...although I do think there is a problem somewhere...there's been too many post over the last few about "missing" systray icons.

i saw but it's not transaprent, you used a color background with transparency on top of it.it's not see through.

no, I used a png with 75% Opacity(25% Transparent)...and the Object was set "No Transparency"

Ok, I loaded up his object, and it appears that the systray icons are being rendered with the backgrounds transparency properties...it's not a z-order problem for sure...but, was the way it worked in 2.4 a bug or a feature...or, is it a problem in sdmcp.exe?

Odd. I tired taskbars and systrays with alphatrnsparent backgrounds... You can see the results here: https://www.wincustomize.com/Forums.aspx?ForumID=153&AID=67662#530821

Thomas, I bet that if you take out the grey layer and just have the icons on the white tranparency layer your icons will become transparent also...
