Well, it was my birthday

Saturday was my birthday. I'm 22 now.

Didnt have a mega party like my 21st last year. I just felt like, ugh, whatever, i dont wanna do anything.

Plus i had to work saturday morning. So after work i had lunch with Darren. He gave me a little guy doll, Mr Wonderful. You press on his chest and he says the perfect things the average woman wants to hear from her partner. Heh, i thought it was pretty funny :) He says stuff like 'let's just cuddle tonight', 'honey, why dont you relax, and let me cook dinner tonight?', 'cant your mum stay longer?' Hehehe, i was just laughing at it full day, it looks so GAY!!! lol!

Then we spent the afternoon playing like little kids in the swimming pool, we had heaps of fun just the two of us.

End i spent the evening with my Dad, talking, laughing, and having red wine...

To some it might seem like the most boring birthday. But it suited me perfectly. I didnt get any presents, but it's better this way. I hate to get things i dont need and that will just pile up in my junk cupboard.

It was easy going, and filled with the two most important men in my life.

What else do i need? :D

Je rappelles d'une fete qu'on a fait pour me dire adieu quand je suis parti de Canberra. C'etait un jour tres simple. C'etait juste plusieurs de mes copains au parc. On a discuter et jouer le badminton. Rien de grande, pas de oratoires, pas de cadeaux. Au fin de la journee un de mes copains m'as dit qu'il etait desole qu'on n'avait pas fait grande chose, qu'on aurait du faire quelque chose imporatnt pour quelquechose qui etait important. Je lui avait dit que j'aurais pas pu demander un meilleur facon de dre au revoir a tout le monde. Il y avait pas beaucoup de monde, mais ceux qu'il y avait etait les gens les plus importants a moi et on a passe un jour agreable ensemble. C'etait toujours ca qui m'avait p-lu pendant [pendant mes annees la, et c'etait ca qui m'as plu pendant cette journee. Souvent il faut juste profiter des choses simples dans la vie. C'est pas questce quon fait, mais qui on le fait avec qui est important.

Busy, but always good. Had a very (unexpectedly) full weekend last weekend. I thought it was going to be quiet and then an interstate friend turned up out of the blue, an invitation came for a party we didn't know about and I also took up a new musical challenge. I will tell more of the last one as it develops.

Oh Gurl...I'm so flattered! Way beyond yours hon...I'm getting up there. My birthday will be in exactly one month and three weeks - that's April if you're too tired to count! I'll be 10 years younger than Oprah! Ok I'll stop being cagey, that's 18 years more than yours.

Happy Birthday (a bit late)!

I'll be hitting 23 here in just over a month myself. Your birtday sounds like the ideal to me too. I don't like big parties or anything like that. I just want to chill with some friends. Too bad all my friends are several states away and won't be visiting me anytime soon

Here I figured everyone on JU was either MUCH younger than me (the AC crew) or much older than me (Most everyone else). Glad to see there are a few more of us 20-somethings hiding out here
