anybody here going to get the PSP handheld?

I am poor and even I am thinking about it!!! or, I should say dreaming about it. It sounds so cool. bluetooh (i think or is it wireless something else?), and other cool features.

it plays videos, shows pictures... plays music...

I wonder if it has picture in picture???

and it plays movies!!! its even comes with spiderman 2 (the first one million sold)

Ahhh, I had heard of this from my kids, but never have seen it.

"The PSP will still be dogged by other questions, particularly those surrounding the device's battery life. Sony estimates the device will run for three to six hours on a battery charge, with units running movies and visually complex games on the lower end of that range"

I think I would rather have a portable DVD player and the GB SP.

Looks cool though.

Not sure it plays DVD - but anyhoo I'm not getting one. I just invested in a Gameboy. Besides it is very expensive!

But it is so hot!!!

The PSP takes a new path in the quest for an all-in-one gadget. It dosen't play DVD's - It plays a disc called UMD. UMD is more or less a glorified flash card.

Whether or not I get a PSP or a DS depends on the games that are available for it. I care little about multimedia capabilities. To me, it's primarily a console. In general, I dislike playing on small screens, so those games'd better be good if I am to get one.
