Terran influnce controlled sector color hard to see on mini map!

This may be related to my video card but my biggest peeve with how sector influence is shown on the mini map is the very dark blue representing Terran controlled sectors.

This color is virtually indistinguishable from the normal black (sector influence undetermined) areas on the mini map! I find I'm constantly having to click on mini map sectors to see if I "really do" have influential control or not....

Is there any way to change the R,G,B values represented on the mini map (possibly via a mod?) Or perhaps in a future patch, something that could be set in an *.ini file or from the main game menu?

Something along the lines of:
Terran Mini Map Influence Color: {R,G,B value}

System specs:
PIV 1.8ghz
512mb ram
Win XP
Geforce3 Ti200 graphics
1.13 GalCiv

Already knew that but thanks anyway.

Even on the full tactical screen, the terran sector color looks the same as an unclaimed/disputed sector color (black). It makes it hard to see at a glance which sectors I'm controlling. The other "major" races don't have this color problem. Their distinctive colors show up just fine.

Might be nice if we could assign what colors are used for each major race, or at the least be able to assign an RGB color value for terrain controled space....

Oh well guess I'll have to get used to the "black" sectors and just assume they are under terrain control.

It would be a lot of work to go through and put the colors in an ini file now.

Someone here on the forums once suggested a program that adjusts the gamma property.  Unfortunately, I don't remember what the program was called.  I also haven't had time to see if it's possible to adjust the gamma for a directdraw app.
