Modify default Longhorn theme

Is it possible to add new widgets or objects to the default Lognhorn theme included with DesktopX? Feel free to point me to documentation if it exists. In my looking around I didn't see what I was looking for.

...Thanks

You can add objects and widgets to any DX theme. Right click the tray icon, select import. Choose your object/widget, and click Load. Unfornuately the dialog will then close, and you'll have to repeat the process for each object/widget. When finished, right click the tray icon again and select Save Theme as... , save your custom theme, and you're set.

I actually tried to do that yesterday and it crashed DeskTopX. Do the objects or widgets have to any certain properties to be able to add them to a theme such as the default Longhorn theme?

Let me rephrase my question. If it is possible, how do I change the one object that is in the default longhorn theme? I'm not sure what the object is called but I would like to add new things to it like a weather object. Can this be done?

If you just right-click on the object you want to change and click on Properties, you get a menu with several tabs that lets you change virtually everying (you still need new graphics though if you want the object to look differently).

P.S. make sure you run DesktopX on Authoring Mode (right-click on the systray icon of DX and click on 'Switch to authoring mode'. If the top most entry in this right click menus is "Configure DesktopX", then you are already in authoring mode.

im trying to make a (somewhat) brand new personalized desktop theme. ive tried my hand at making a calendar with words instead of graphics and clock using numbers and not a clock graphic but sp far i am un successful. ive managed to find a digital clock that i was trying to modify and failed miserably and was unable to find one of the calendar i want.

any pointers?

thanks in advance
