Alright, I'm up in this dumb lounge untill lunch which is like another 2hrs or so. But I can't complain. At least I only have to take my Spanish2 exam today. Anyways.....
So last night we had an FFA meeting. Well they went as planed as they normally do. We did have the Chapter Degree ceremony though. As you might have read in Stacey's article. Yeah I was glad to have received it. It was great. Now I get to work towards my State FFA Degree, and then my American FFA Degree. Fun, fun!
We had a guest speaker, Chip Shannon. He is the Ohio FFA State Sentinel(sp?). He's pretty cool. He was at FFA camp this past summer with us. He is also in the same division as our FFA chapter. I believe he goes to Westfall. Well, he graduated from there, but he's now in college. He spoke to us on the topic of leadership. It was actually an interesting speach....but anyways...on to the exciting part of the meeting.
After the meeting we always have Ag challenge. A boy and girl from each grade take place. Well last night was the feed bag hold. Girls had to see how long they could hold a 20lb bag of kitty food over their head and they guys a 40lb bag of dog food. Well I went for the sophomore girls. I had the best time out of everyone! It was awesome! I held the bag over my head for 7min and 30sec! The only reason I got out was because they said the bag went below my head. And I have Christian, Alex's brother, to thank for that. He was trying to make me drop it the whole time. That's ok, I got him back for it! He went for the seniors. He kept throwing the bag up to get a better hold on it. I told him at one point that the next time he threw it up he was going to drop it. Well he begged to differ. Well guess who got out...? Christian did! lol. But the sophomores came in second by 30sec. The seniors ended up winning with combined times of like 6min and 5min. Which equals a grand total of 11min. They guy that did it for the sophomores just gave up at like 3min b/c he didn't want to do it anymore. So that left me in by myself. I was happy with second though because I had the longest time of all last night. It still didn't beat the record. The record was set by a 85lb girl who held the kitty food for 10min. But I came close enough. So I'm happy. Sophomores went away with second place. And second is good enough for me. Sophomores are now in second place over all with points I think we have like 55pts now. But stupid freshmen are ahead of us by like 3pts. Oh well. We'll beat em! lol. Our freshmen class won last year, so we can do it again!
Now my arms are really sore. And they still feel like jell-o. It even hurts to write or type. But hey I'm typing and putting up with it. lol. The writings worse, but you'll have that i guess. I lived up to my name with the cat food though! lol! (Smiling Kitten) Well wish me luck on my Spanish2 exam. I'll need it!
