I have a problem with the "envelops" in front of every thread

from WinCustomize Forums
Most times these little envelops tell me when there is a new post on a thread. But over the last few weeks they have been getting screwed up. The envelop will say it has a new post on a thread but I click on that thread and there are no new posts. It is becoming quite confusing to figure out new post with the envelops not working.

Also sometimes after I post on a thread it will not get bumped to the top of the list even if I wait a day.

So do I. I think it's because of caching. This is what I've figured out so far.....

Still means I haven't read it.
Now means I have read it and I didn't make the last post.
This means a new post I haven't read or I made the last post and I might have gone back to read the thread or not read the thread or I need another beer or I just stepped out for a cigarette or dinner's ready.....

As for threads with new posts moving up it takes a few minutes and to me seems to take longer if there isn't anyone else posting in threads at the same time.

It seems the envelops are still "stuck" today. Very confusing. Maybe WC should have gone with a PHP based message board?

I wanted to bump this thread to see if anyone else is having problems. I can't even tell no more what threads I have read and what I haven't. Even after i kill cookies it still remains unchanged. Should I email T-Man?

I have to agree....I'm staff at a resource site for a well-known message board software, much more user friendly. >_< Took me quite a while to figure out how to work on this script, but I guess switching over would be a problem for reintegrating the member base and what not (although it's not impossible, the database and forums at the site I'm staff at are integrated).

Yes, switching over 1.7 million members would be quite difficult to say the least This works (at least mostly) so I'm happy with it

I have problems with the mail folders showing NEW in articles that havent changed in weeks, and same thing with forums, and even my skins.

And can we add a email notification on my skins? when somene adds a comment to one of my skins??? PLEASEEEE?

I have been having simular problems too, as well as others. I changed my picture icon today and it took hours to show the new one. Even after it was successfully uploaded. It takes a long time for my stats to catch up, and even though I am on a cable modem it sometimes takes forever to get on the sight or navigate once I get here. Maybe the WC system is getting overloaded. I also noticed that my latest screenshot showed no downloads or comments on the screenshot page, but in my account it showed there were, and there actually were. What's up with that? Smile!

Odd I haven't noticed these issues. Everything updates just fine through SDC or Firefox. I uploaded a personal icon and it showed up immediately just the other day.
