failure to apply bootskin to dell system

i'm using dell optiplex 160L and running windows xp. i dont know why but my system cant reboot normally after i applied new bootskin. on the download site of bootskin, it does said that some bios will generate error when bootskin was applied. so as suggested, i managed to tried the different version of bootskin that is ver 1.02 and 1.03 but i still face the problem. is this means that my windows xp caused the problem?

I had the same problem. You need to find "Bootskin 0.75 Public" If you can get a hold of UzEE, he is the one who had the download. Not sure where else to find it.

If I find the download, I will post it here for you.

running an HP Pavillion with AMD and Windows XP. WindowBlinds works great for me but bootSkin forces me to go into safe mode instead of starting my computer with the skin. i can not start my computer normally using a bbotSkin...is this the same problem?

The problem is with certain "non-standard" BIOS set ups.

MindTripp, you really should consider that if Stardock wanted version 0.75 distributed, they would have it on the BootSkin page. They probably have a very good reason for not wanting it out there.
