Hurricane Frances.

For the 2nd time in less than 2 weeks Florida is going to get hit by a hurricane.
About 2 weeks ago, hurricane Charlie punished Florida's west coast with devastating results. By tomorrow evening, hurricane Frances will likely do the same to the east coast. The entire coast is under hurricane watch/warning. For all those that live in the state of Florida, I hope you all take the necessary measurements to get out of harm's way.
Be safe and I hope it doesn’t hit us hard.

I hope my relatives & friends will be fine. Last time, Charlie missed them. They were prepared.

Lets hope all our friends and relatives will be ok.

Apoc., did they have to move SilverBird from the hospital? I heard on the news that some of them were evacuating.

WOM. So far the area of the hospital where she is at is not under any watch so they have not evacuated. Hopefully it'll stay that way.

My Dad went for the hills, but my crazy Aunt is staying on her house boat in Punta Gorda Bay (West Coast). Everybody has been calling her telling her to get the heck out, but she is staying. Hope she makes it.

The hurricane cleared the east coast but left behind a mess. My area (south Miami) wasnt hit hard but the beach area was pretty bad, ofcourse, nothing compared with what the mid-east coast got.
TSF (Jeff) I know your area was hit bad, Im glad to read that you folks are ok.
Tampa was feeling the effects last night and today. Orlando was also battered pretty good.
I.R. Texas doesnt look bad at all right about now P But one thing is for sure, Ivan is not one of my favorite names right now >

It would figure...My Ex-Wife name is Frances...lmao

yea..it hit us in Columbus, Ga. with 40 mph winds last night, but nothing drastic. Pretty much slowed down by 4 this morning. We are under Flood warnings, but that is common when your not use to even 3 inchs of rain...lol. Can you beleive that they closed the schools for this. Wow

Ivan seems to be slowing down, so maybe we can get back to some nice weather here.

In Maine, Frances just hit us with heavy downpours. Very little wind, though.
