A problem with Mini OS?

I think Treetog's Mini OS is an exceptional skin. However, it seems that when I use it while signed into MSN and using MSN9 Premium as my browser I crash id I try to download anything. In fact, yesterday I tried to comment on a wallpaper at the site and as soon as I clicked on the "comment" button, my system rebooted instantly. It seems to be the only skin I've ever had this problem with, and so as much as I love it I have to remember to unload it before getting on the internet. Anyone else noticied this or have any suggestions?

His skin works perfectly with my computer, your problem sounds like a virus I have a vague memory of, I can't think of it's name.

Virus...yeah, I did. But it's gone now. I had just bought a brand new computer last weekend and the very first time I got on the net I got hit with the Sasser worm. I didn't even have a chance to update my virus protection before I got it, and I still don't know how it got in there. I hadn't even downloaded anything yet. But it appears to be gone now, and I actually had this start happening on my old machine which had no viruses. I was kinda hoping that the new computer, with all it's vast improvements over my old machine, would solve the problem. Hmmm...

Also worth noting is that the only place I encounter difficulties with the skin is while on the net. It's a shame, because I think it's just a fantastic skin. I really love everything about it.

Check to see if there's an update to your videocard drivers. IE6 kept crashing on me until I updated the drivers on my ATi card....Just a thought

You don't have to download anything to get the sasser worm................ just connect to the net without a good firewall, and you'll likely get zapped.

That's funny since I don't run a firewall and I have never got any worm virus. I have a tough Anti Virus proggie!!

Sasser was a virus in it's own little category, not quite a worm but not quite not.

I can't imagine a skin causing that much trouble. You said it happened on your old machine, did you transfer any data or install some of the old software? Maybe that is the culprit. You also did not sound so sure the virus is gone, did you get rid of through the proper channels (ie. the fixes and patches from your virus software manufacturer or Microsoft)?
