SysMetrix Configuration/E-Mail Accounts

We have IncrediMail. Our mail comes to us from MSN. This is what we did. We first clicked-on E-Mail Accounts. Then we added it under [POP E-Mail Accounts]. Under [POP E-Mail Accounts] we see "01-Description" and to the right-side entered the words "Description". Next, we added in our Server information, Login, and Password. Finally, we clicked-on "Check Now". The ed theme has and E-Mail alert however, it did not work when mail arrived. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Well, we found our answer. Q: Can SysMetrix check my HotMail account? What about an IMAP account?

A: No, currently on the POP3 protocol is implemented so SysMetrix can only query POP3-based mail accounts.

Satan's Child, unless you are paying for Yahoo's premium Mail Plus service, you won't be able to access Yahoo mail through Outlook Express. Yahoo's basic free email service is web-based and does not support POP3 protocols.

I think this may have changed yet again now (probably in response to the forthcoming Googlemail stuff) and you can now get POP3 with Yahoo by subscribing free to Yahoo Deliver.

Just as an extra thought - I generally get sysmetrix to simply launch Incredimail from the e-mail buttons as my default mail client.
